"I admit, it was insane to adopt two rescue puppies at one time, especially a german shepherd and a pit bull, neither of whom had EVER had any obedience training and the GSD wasn't even house trained. EEK! We struggled (horribly) for a couple of months, trying to get things straightened out, but it just seemed to get worse as they bonded with each other and got bigger. The teething/chewing on my beautiful (no longer) front porch was the final straw, combined with the jumping and clawing. I started to look for a home for the GSD (the pit bull is my son's and he thought if we only had one dog, then he could train her better.) Enter Robert Webb. I was at the feed store and saw his card. Because NO ONE was happy with the idea of giving her away, I thought, I am going to try ONE MORE TIME. Robert came over for a consult to meet us and our dog. He spent over an hour observing us, her and the other dog and what the issues were. He suggested a week long "boot camp" where he took her, worked on the most stressful issues and then brought her back to work with all of us together. I was a little stressed over the price, but frankly, I felt like such a loser for wanting to get rid of my poor dog that it was worth. Plus the idea of having week with only one dog in the house was blissful. When she came home, there seemed to be little to no improvement. Seriously. But Robert explained that she was just excited about being home and to give her a day to settle. Well! He certainly knows his stuff. The next day she was sitting and lying at my feet, she would walk next to me instead of lunging out the door and she came when I called her. I don't know how he did it, but I do know that as I sat at my desk on New Year's day, a warm, sleepy dog on my feet, that this was the best possible thing I could have done for all of us."
