I admit, it was insane to adopt two rescue puppies at one time, especially a german shepherd and a pit bull, neither of whom had EVER had any obedience training and the GSD wasn't even house trained. EEK! We struggled (horribly) for a couple of months, trying to get things straightened out, but it just seemed to get worse as they bonded with each other and got bigger. The teething/chewing on my beautiful (no longer) front porch was the final straw, combined with the jumping and clawing. I started to look for a home for the GSD (the pit bull is my son's and he thought if we only had one dog, then he could train her better.) Enter Robert Webb. I was at the feed store and saw his card. Because NO ONE was happy with the idea of giving her away, I thought, I am going to try ONE MORE TIME. Robert came over for a consult to meet us and our dog. He spent over an hour observing us, her and the other dog and what the issues were. He suggested a week long "boot camp" where he took her, worked on the most stressful issues and then brought her back to work with all of us together. I was a little stressed over the price, but frankly, I felt like such a loser for wanting to get rid of my poor dog that it was worth. Plus the idea of having week with only one dog in the house was blissful. When she came home, there seemed to be little to no improvement. Seriously. But Robert explained that she was just excited about being home and to give her a day to settle. Well! He certainly knows his stuff. The next day she was sitting and lying at my feet, she would walk next to me instead of lunging out the door and she came when I called her. I don't know how he did it, but I do know that as I sat at my desk on New Year's day, a warm, sleepy dog on my feet, that this was the best possible thing I could have done for all of us.

We adopted our little guy, Buddy, from a shelter in October of 2016. The poor guy was only ten months old and we were already his fourth (and forever!) home -- he had a lot of anxiety, he would tear things up if left alone for even a few minutes, and it was impossible to walk him due to all the pulling. When I found Karen, I was kind of at my wit's end. Karen called me back before the end of that day and we scheduled an evaluation. We went for seven sessions of private training, and not only is Buddy is a totally different dog now, but I'm a much better dog owner/Dad and our daughters are having a lot more fun with their little bro. Karen is obviously awesome at training dogs, but what she's really doing is teaching YOU all the techniques to be a good leader, which I really needed. Buddy is a much more confident and relaxed dog, and going on walks and playing with him are now really enjoyable for all of us and not mentally and physically exhausting. More great things about Karen: she's punctual, flexible, and very communicative. Also -- and this is important -- she totally knows what she's doing. She was firm but always very loving and gentle with Buddy. She loves what she does and she goes beyond the call of duty and I wish I would of met her sooner We continue our session tomorrow . I feel confident that we can continue and go even further with training (maybe we'll certify Buddy to be a Therapy " dog next, ), but occasionally I might need a pep talk to not feel bad about being "the boss." Karen has been able to read me very well, and even though tomorrow is our last session she makes me feel like I could text her any time if I had any additional questions or needed advice or a pep talk. The sessions were SO worth the investment!! Karen Thank you so much and I hope your ready for the next dog we are considering after the Magic you did working with Buddy .

I was at the end of my rope when I was fortunate enough to find Kerri Lamorey. I'm a very busy business owner and did not have time to train my Standard Poodle puppy. She came to my office, explained in detail what her plan was with "Winston" and assured me that my poodle just needed Obedience training and outlined in detail what she could do for him and me. She took him for a week, sent videos of his progress along with videos of him socializing and playing with her dogs. She took him to Home Depot and he obeyed all her commands. After 1 week she returned my dog to me, he was completely different. He now has manners, he is obedient and knows his place. He no longer pulls me when I walk him, he stays on the floor unless I invite him up to sit on the couch with me. He now loves being in his crate which has become a safe place for him. I am so happy with Kerri for giving me the dog I always wanted, he no longer jumps up on people, even though he is a puppy he weighs 50lbs and is a big boy! He heels when walking and is a delight to be around. I am even considering making him a therapy dog. I recommend her with no hesitation!

Brittany has an incredible ability to get anxious, and untrained dogs, to learn obedience and maybe even a few tricks in a short amount of time. Horses and cats really like her too.

Very professional! My dog is chasing cars up my driveway. Tyler got to know the dog, explained the various techniques that could be used. He walked through the pros and cons of each. He decided to go with the most basic. Spent an over an hour at my house and trained both myself and my dog.

Natasha has been an excellent help in successfully training my German Shepherd, showing me techniques that I may have not have learned outside of her skilled lessons. She has been training both me and my puppy which has given mysti and I a chance to form a life long bond of obedience and understanding. Although we are still training, and will be for awhile longer, I know that I can depend on Natasha for any training obstacles we may encounter, and together we will overcome...I will highly recommend her to everyone.

My name is Guy Yeaman. I have been professionally training dogs for over 45 years. I offer group obedience classes (both basic and advanced), private in-home classes, tracking, protection, Schutzhund, and in-board training at my home. My classes can be found in Reno, Sparks, Incline Village, Stateline, South Lake Tahoe, Carson City and Gardnerville. I use repetition and praise methods. There are many training tools available. Each has its use. I use some; some, I do not. I would be happy to explain the purpose and usage of any training tool and my opinion of when they are useful and when they are not. My basic obedience classes run $80-82 for a 6-week course (other rates available on inquiry). I guarantee results. Some dogs simply take longer to learn than others. You may bring your dog back to as many classes as it takes for it to learn for no extra charge.

My family has a strong history with training own dogs and caring for them like own children. I have trained our own dogs how to sit, play dead, heal, stay, shake, and roll over. I enjoy the company of dogs as they provide healing to the heart and mind. My grandmother takes her wire fox terriers to dog shows around the US and taught me a various amount of skills, such as grooming and training.

About

No single training method is best for every dog; we find the best method that works for you and your dog! I do personal consultation and evaluation in your home. Sometimes all that's needed to correct a situation is establishing pack leadership. By evaluating the environment and the behavior of your pet(s), I can often help get everybody going in a direction that will correct the problem behavior. I offer private lessons in your home or at my location. My private lessons vary according to your preference for involvement. I can work with you to teach your dog two or three basic, much-needed commands in a few sessions while you do more practice in between sessions. If you prefer to practice less in between, we can get together for additional private lessons. Lessons covered are come, sit, stay, down, off and leave it. These basic commands can and do solve a host of issues, like leash pulling, jumping, mouthing and some aggression issues. Consultations can be arranged to meet your busy schedule. We will only take a limited number of dogs for training at any one time to ensure that your dog gets the individual attention that he/she can best benefit from and deserves.

I went to ABC college and graduated. I'm a certified dog trainer. I've been training dogs for over 5 years now. I do basic obedience. It's a 6-week course, 1 hour a week, and I charge $200. It's a onetime charge and for the lifetime of your family member. So in the future that your family member is pulling on the leash, you call me. I come back to you, see what's going on work with you on it and won't charge you. I'm also licensed and insured.
