Claudia was our officiant for our small backyard wedding. COVID made my husband and I rearrange plans several times. When I asked Claudia if she was available for our day it was only 2 weeks in advance. She was more than willing to do our wedding at such short notice and was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was very kind and respectful, and did all of the paperwork for us. We received our license in the mail 2 weeks after our wedding. Thank you Claudia!!

My partner and I had one goal in mind when we started planning our wedding: make it happen while keeping it simple. Although eloping was a thought that crossed our minds, we ultimately decided against it as it would have excluded close relatives and deprived us the opportunity for necessary healing and growth within our respective family units. That's when we decided we needed an officiant. We needed someone who could marry us, but who could do it on a day and time that was convenient for us, our families, and the schedules of all of those involved, while also respecting our values and making us feel comfortable. That's when we turned to Thumbtack. We submitted the request and instantly received a number of bids. Some were insanely high and some of the officiants were incredibly pushy, rude, or down right unbearable. However, all was not lost. There were some wonderful candidates among the received bids, but Claudia truly stood out. Unlike a few of the other officiants we interacted with, Claudia was kind, considerate, informative, patient, and extremely pleasant. Where others refused to provide answers or lacked a needed clarity or reassurance in their responses, Claudia inspired confidence. She truly made us feel as though we were dealing with a pro. Her dedication to making sure our questions were answered, that the ceremony was true to who we are, and that our day was as special (and simple) as we wanted it to be were absolutely amazing. When it came to the day of our original ceremony, we had a family emergency that forced us to have to cancel our wedding at the last minute. When we discussed the issue with Claudia, she was completely understanding, sympathetic, and supportive. She even kept in touch throughout our family's unexpected situation and went above and beyond to work with us to reschedule after things had settled. As if our email and telephone interactions weren't enough, meeting Claudia in person proved to be even more wonderful. Her compassion and caring nature is undeniable, and we knew with 100% certainty that we had made the right choice in choosing to work with her. She made us both feel at ease, and we felt truly blessed to have had her with us on our special day. In addition to all of that, her fee was very competitive. While a number of other officiants were in the same price range, Claudia went a step beyond by filing our completed marriage license and providing a keepsake copy of our ceremony as well. We were extremely impressed with Claudia, the work she did, and the ease with which she did. We had an amazing ceremony and now, thanks to Claudia, my partner and I are husband and husband. So...if you are in need of an officiant, you need look no further than Claudia Meyer.

We feel absolutely blessed to have found Claudia. From the moment I spoke to her on the phone, I knew that we found the perfect person to marry us! Claudia knows exactly what to do. She is very organized, notably responsive, cheerfully professional, wholeheartedly kindhearted, and exceptionally gifted. One thing that really stood out to us was the time that Claudia put in to really get to know us. She creatively inputted a bit of our relationship history into our beautiful and sentimental ceremony. For example, it absolutely poured on our wedding day, but Claudia didn't see the rain; she saw a meaningful story. She told a tale of how it is impossible to untie a knot that is soaked in water. This was so appropriate not only due to the rain, but because we got married lakeside. Everything Claudia said or did stood out to make our special day one that we will treasure forever. Our guests spoke of how Chaplain Claudia Meyer made our ceremony momentous. We are forever grateful for her calm demeanor and warm sincerity. Trust me, Claudia is the only person you want to officiate the most important day of your life!
