Idlemind is known for his ability to blend seemingly opposing songs together, often breaking genre, speed and chronological barriers. Although a New York native, he has played music around the US and internationally, including sets in Japan, Italy, Sweden, Ibiza and Germany before becoming a Florida resident. DJ Idlemind was the official event DJ for the Brooklyn Academy of Music and house DJ for the BAMcafe Live concert series. Timothy was the DJ at my wedding. I made a LOT of song requests and had a lot of do-not-plays. I, along with many of my family members, am very picky about music. I was worried I had requested too much, but Timothy did a great job of figuring out what I wanted and playing a fantastic mix of songs that got everyone of all ages could dance to and have a wonderful time. I lost track of how many times a song would begin to a chorus of wedding guests screaming in delight! He had just the right amount of involvement, too, getting people excited and in the mood to dance without being corny or overbearing. Timothy had a great personality and feel for the crowd, and I would recommend him to anyone getting married in the area!

Tim was really great. He did not need a lot of instruction or follow-up from me, which was really great because I am a not a small-details kind of person. So I really liked that I was able to give him an overview of the day and leave it at that. We only had to touch base a few times and I knew that everything was going to be fine. He did respond to me when I needed him to and even met me on the fly one day just to go over last minute stuff. My family keeps talking about how everyone was on the dance floor all night. From my dad to my older aunts to my friends - he really was able to create a playlist that made everyone happy. I feel like my wedding was exactly what I wanted and I was so happy all night and that was definitely due, in part, to how easy The Appropriate Agent was to work with and how good he is at his job!

Tim was perfect to work with! He not only took into account out requests for our wedding reception but he was excellent at reading the crowd to keep everyone entertained. He did some pretty impressive song mixing!

We were a little nervous about hiring a DJ with whom we had no personal experience for our wedding, but all of the great reviews we read online were true. DJ Idlemind was extremely responsive to our requests and did an excellent job both with soft "cocktail hour" music and with dance/club music. He made sure that the schedule for the evening stayed on track and was available by text for special requests. We would definitely use DJ Idlemind again!

As an entertainment professional, it is my responsibility to cater to the needs of my client. I will ask you for the mood, ambiance and overall feel your are trying to achieve for your event and discuss ways to make it a reality.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am the event DJ for the Brooklyn Academy of Music, we host performers from all over the world and I play music for their parties and events every week. This exposes me to many types of music and allows me to adapt to any situation.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I'm not only your DJ, but your advocate. I will work with your other vendors to make your event all that you want it to be. I provide a full lighting and sound package as well as a customized soundtrack to set any mood you desire. I am able to offer a photos and video of various events at which I've had the privilege of performing.
