Reserving a lesson for the day of the road test was probably the smartest thing I could've done! I had Simon and he was very reassuring and the simulated road test experience really helped prepare me for my test. Every instructor I had at Drive Rite was instrumental in my passing and I am very happy with my decision to take my lessons with them! They were always very accommodating and I always felt calm and confident behind the wheel and it was all because of incredible instructors like Ronald, Monique, and Simon, etc!! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get their license and I will likely be returning for a highway lesson! Thanks again to Drive Rite for making this process enjoyable & less anxiety-inducing!!

I am incredibly impressed and very grateful to drive rite. Their instructors are absolutely amazing. I started w not just zero knowledge but also incredibly high anxiety about driving. I was literally terrified of it and had quit classes elsewhere at least two times before. Their instructors were calm, friendly, reassuring, incredibly good at guiding and always had helpful ideas or were happy to show something in a different way. They were able to explain in depth not just what I needed to do but why and how it worked, how to think through the driving so I could not only repeat the tasks mechanically but adjust them to driving conditions. I took a bunch of lessons w what I think must be most of the instructors : Andre, David, Donald, Jenny, Jim, Kevin, Monique, Ronald, Rebecca. Each and every one was superb. I literally was impressed w each and every one. I'd especially recommend Jenny, Monique, Rebecca, Andre. They all not just know the job and how to teach, but are enthusiastic and put in genuine effort and care. I went from scared of driving to fairly calm and on a rare occasion enjoying it and I pretty much owe that confidence and command of the wheel to them. Highly recommend!

My story is I had not renewed my driver's license for several years, as a consequence, I had to go through the process of getting a learners permit and taking driving lessons and 5-hour drivers classroom course. I made my living as an NYC taxi driver for a period of time. I was fortunate to find Drive Rite Academy on YELP. Drive Rite Academy is an excellent driving school that offers you a number of classes of driving instruction that you need in order to pass your driving Road Test. They never, and I mean never suggest you take a certain amount of classes, how many classes of driving instruction you need is strictly up to you. My driving instructors David and Raheem gave me the confidence I needed in preparation for the Road Test. Jim drove us to the Road Test, he relaxed everyone with his jovial chatter and I had no butterflies when it was time for the test. There are a couple of things that I did not realize, When you take the 5-Hour Class that is when you will be scheduled for your ROAD TEST, usually 5-6 weeks after. When going to the ROAD TEST SITE, be sure to dress for the weather There will be no cover from the weather, in case it rains etc. I highly recommend Drive Rite Academy no matter if you are a new driver or an old-timer like myself returning to driving and seeking to become a fully licensed driver. This is a relaxed no drama Driving School.
