About
Book your free hour lesson now!
I'm looking for adults and teenagers who are seriously interested in music, whether you're a beginner or already performing and recording. I'm a New York-based guitarist and bassist with a B.S. in jazz guitar and 12+ years of teaching experience. Currently, my focus is on producing records for Brooklyn indie bands and making beats for artists.
Our lessons are built around your goals and the music you love. I cover guitar, bass, songwriting, improvisation, music theory, and production. Genre is not a question for me: I'm as comfortable breaking down a black metal riff as I am teaching jazz harmony or producing a DnB track.
The center of my method is experimentation, compassion, in-depth analysis, and building student independence. I combine a neuroscience-based approach to practice with a distinct focus on your development as an artist.
You will also get custom tabs and sheet music, running lesson notes, and access to me between sessions to answer questions. Invest in the music, and I will invest in you.

Tony C is the best around. He’s always available for questions, tips, and tricks! He’s witty, supportive, a great listener, and does a great job with honing in on exactly what I need. Anytime I find myself struggling with a specific topic or part of a song, I’m always excited to get to my lesson with him because I know it’ll he’ll know exactly how to explain me through the issue in a way that make sense to me and my learning style. Also, he never gets impatient, even when it takes me awhile to get there. Tony is the best! Highly recommend learning from this guy!

Tony is a patient, open-minded teacher who does an excellent job of meeting people where they're at and helping them get where they want to go. Whether you know exactly what you want to work on, or don't know where to start, Tony will help make it easy and fun!

Tony was a really great teacher for my son. He taught him the basics and allowed my son to be creative at the same time! He and my son have even remained in contact after the lessons stopped. Tony is an awesome person and teacher and I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to learn how to play the guitar.

Tony was a great and patient teacher who was receptive to my learning style and had the perfect mix of structure and an impromptu attitude in his teaching techniques along with a desire to just play music and practice with his students.

Tony has been my music teacher for many years now, and I cannot recommend him strongly enough. His knowledge of music, music theory and technique is vast. More importantly his ability to patiently explain ideas and techniques in a simple yet comprehensive way has proven to be immensely helpful to my playing. His passion for music is infectious and always makes me want to work harder. You wont be sorry if you hire him as your music teacher!
