Mr. Gordon is a very professional tutor. My son is 10 and his learning abilities were that of a 5 year old. From second to 4th grade he always received a promotion in doubt letter, his report were 1s and 2s, but he have been moving up all because of his twin brother who is much faster than him and the principal always said that it would have caused him more damage, seeing his brother moving to a next grade. My son had a very short memory and could not remember anything that was taught to him. I went as far as talking to his PCP about him and asked that he receive help or an evaluation. I was given a few counselors contact number. I went as far as taking him to counseling but that did not work. The boys cousin told me about Mr. Gordon and gave me his contact number. I called him and we arranged a meeting. I discussed my son's issues with him and he said to me 'mam don't worry I will help him and he will be ok. Nothing is wrong with him I will take care of him. ' Mr Gordon started tutoring my son 2 weeks prior to school opening for the year 2014-2015 school year. My son teacher called me in March and informed that she have seen some improvements in his work and behavior. Mr. Gordon is a very respectful, patience, calm individual. He had a lot of patience dealing with my son. My son also had a behavioral issue and that he also addressed. One advise he always give me is that he used to tell me don't let them place my son in special Ed class because he's not a special Ed child, and he was right. My so never pass the NY state test and with Mr. Gordon's help tutoring him 2 evening per week for 4 hrs sometime he will stay an extra 45mins to 1 HR to complete his lesson, my sone passed the state test this year (2016) and did very well. All his past teachers were looking out for his performance and congratulated him on his success. His teacher informed me that he did very well. I highly recommend Mr. Gordon to anyone who's looking for a tutor/teacher for their child. He have made a big difference in my sons education. My son will be starting middle school this Srptember. I kept asking him why is he not a teacher, but God knows why he put this gentle to do what he's doing, cause he have helped and will continue to help many people of all race and ages. My daughter have already told me that she will have him teach her in order for her to write her test for the NY high school diploma. He's is a great one, and I always thank him for making this big change in my son's life. 👍

I have often heard many persons, when speaking about their respective careers, said that they simply stumbled into their varying vocations. Well, the same cannot be said about Garrette Gordon. This is a man who was born to impart knowledge, and is in my view, one of the greatest teachers/tutors, around today. I have known Garrette since 2003. We met while in University, pursuing our undergraduate degrees. I was immediately impressed by his intelligence, particularly, his vast knowledge across subjects areas, and the fluidity with which he could share that knowledge base with others. He was my resource person for many research-based projects I did throughout university, and I was never once academically disappointed. Garrette is also patient in his teaching methodology, as he understands that not everyone learns at the same level. There were many times that he had to explain a concept to me repeatedly, and he would always do so in a calm and rational manner, utilizing several examples, until I was finally able to grasp the concept. Not only did I always learn from Garrette, but at the same time he inspired me to continue learning more. Over the years since, I have seen Garrette’s passion for education continue to grow, and I remain convinced that anyone who chooses Garrette as their personalized tutor will be greatly rewarded, academically.

The experience we received from my daughter's tutor Mr. Gerrette Gordon excellent. My daughter is presently attending the Independent school of her choice because of the dedication and intrest in my daughter's learning from her tutor. I would recommend Mr.Gerrette Gordon to anyone who's intetested in enhancing their school knowledge, 1st grade through University.
