Rich D. says, "This is my first time using Thumbtack. The texts and updates were always good. We agreed to a date and time. He had a distance to travel. I picked up the parts to fix a faucet and he installed them. In all, the faucet no longer leaks. When the right cold water faucet handle is closed, it is no longer at 3:00 if we were looking at a clock. It is now at say 2:00. The left faucet (hot) handle is at 9:00 as it should be. I paid $150 before I found out the cold water handle was at 2:00. He wrote in text that the service would be $150 but initially I did read that a call was $100. He was willing to return $50 and I give him credit for that. He is honest. I don't like the idea of having a plumber travel long distances - regardless of the plumber - and I think I will stand by that in the future. Update: The plumber returned after seeing what I had written above. He was utmost kind and professional about the matter. He made an adjustment to the faucet handle and it is perfectly aligned. A good experience gone great. Again, he couldn't have been nicer and I'd hire him again."See more
