Introduction: I have been a professional yoga and pilates teacher in NYC since 2011 and it’s my dream job. My classes combine breath-based movement with deep body awareness and mindfulness meditation. My teaching is intelligent and accessible for all body types and skill levels. I help my students reduce pain, alleviate stress and create an overall sense of well being in mind and body. I have sub-specialties in pre/post natal, older adults and beginner students. I am fascinated by the human body and mind and share that enthusiasm. I am fully vaccinated against COVID-19. I offer a discount for Zoom sessions.

It was a pleasure working with Paige. She is experienced and knowledgeable. I did prenatal yoga with Paige and was happy with the workouts.

Paige is attentive to her clients’ needs as well as to the areas that need extra TLC. She’s pleasant, easygoing and reliable! She’s committed to her job as well as to her clients! She makes each class fun, different and challenging, always incorporating a change to make things exciting.

Paige has a friendly, soothing vibe; always reminds me that it’s my practice, I should just do what I can handle. And yet she’s constantly helping me to push beyond, to reach further, to surprise myself. Paige is so attentive! She’ll remember an injury I had 8 months ago and how I crossed my legs 4 minutes ago.

I had yoga classes with other teachers and there was a lot of (a) pain and (b) boredom involved. With Paige, there is no pain, and there is no boredom. This is because she doesn't do lots of reps on any one move or pose. We do it twice, maybe three times, then move on immediately to the next one. So there's no time for it to start hurting and there's no time to get bored. On the one hand, Paige's classes are very slow, because we learn to breathe slowly and rhythmically and really get into the pose, feeling it deeply in our entire bodies. On the other hand, the classes are fast-moving, because there's no chatting or resting in-between moves or poses. Paige keeps me going for the entire 45 minutes straight and I love that. I am not wasting my time at all. It's a thorough yoga workout. Chatting is reserved for after the class only. One more thing that I love about Paige is that even though we are working together for a few years now, she has yet to repeat a class. Every single week there's something new and different, something we never did before. I have no clue how she accomplishes that magic but she does. Another point: some teachers sort of send you off doing reps and meanwhile they check their phones, space out, or take a break. Cara works as hard as I do, standing nearby and physically supporting me if I might fall, in the gentlest way possible. She is completely focused on my yoga the entire time. Last but not least, Paige is extremely encouraging. She often says, "Good work," and "Great job," and "That's beautiful," and mostly "You can do it," and then I find I actually can do it. Paige says, "There's no such thing as cheating, just try your best," and she often comments, "Do you remember when we first started, you couldn't do this, but LOOK, now you can!" If I really can't do something, she says, "We'll try again next week." And we keep trying again until I do (much to my own surprise) manage to do it. When I say that at my age (almost 60) I probably won't be able to do this or that, she looks at me with a big smile as if to say, "We both know that's not true," and indeed, with Paige, I can do anything, even stand on my head! So as you can see I am a BIG Paige fan. I feel the yoga has made a big difference in how I feel, how I move, and how I think about my body, and this wasn't so until she became my teacher.
