Jeremy has helped me extensively in both math and english. Not only has he helped me improve my grades but he has helped me get ahead of my classmates. Currently Jeremy is helping to prepare me for the ACT and I am prepping for an excellent score! Lastly, Jeremy makes himself available to help me at any time, including outside our sessions.

It is hard to find a good English teacher, but James is excellent. He knows the elements of good writing and can present abstract topics really well. James never gives away answers. He directs by asking insightful questions so you learn to become critical thinkers. James has taught all my three kids, and I can’t be more pleased with their results. If you are looking for a tutor, think no more. Hire James! He is the best! We just got notice that our youngest got accepted to Cornell!

I was in NYC with my husband. While he was working, I took the opportunity to take Spanish lessons. My weakness is in conversation. I had (5) 1.5 hour lessons with Laura and it was great! She got down to business and really focused on the task at hand- she is flexible and accessible. if I could have taken more lessons, I would have! I look forward to working with her again on my next visit! I really appreciated her encouragement, more than anything! Cynthia N.

Eliana Bonaguro is an excellent Italian teacher who tailors her tutorials to meet the needs and abilities of her individual students. She has an outstanding knowledge of both Italian and English vocabulary and grammar which gives her the unique ability to clearly and concisely teach the similarities and differences between the two languages. I went to Eliana after a disappointing attempt to learn Italian in an adult course at one of New York's universities. The course consisted of learning some stock phrases and expressions similar to those found in guidebooks. In contrast, Eliana takes a structured approach to teaching and lays a strong foundation of grammar and vocabulary while making her lessons fun and entertaining. The result is that her students actually learn to read, write and speak Italian! She is very intelligent, incredibly patient (especially when explaining some of the more difficult rules of construction) and always encouraging. I am delighted I found Eliana and highly recommend her.

Mr. Parez was my tutor in high school for about a year to help me prepare for the SAT exam. The tutoring sessions were very convenient because they were done over Skype. Having the tutoring sessions done over Skype cut out time/money that would have been put into travel. Mr. Parez was always accommodating when it came to scheduling my tutoring sessions around my busy schedule. Mr. Parez had me take a preliminary SAT exam to see the areas of the exam I excelled in and which areas I struggled with. He helped me improve significantly in the areas I struggled in through various personalized lessons and homework assignments. Mr. Parez helped me to raise my score significantly. I believe that achieving a higher score on the SAT exam made me a stronger College applicant and helped me to get into 7 out of 7 Colleges that I applied to, including my top choice, of which I am now in attendance. I highly recommend Mr. Parez for any of you tutoring needs.

I like working with Lenore. English is my second language, and Lenore is teaching me how to properly pronounce words and sounds in order to reduce my accent. She is professional, patient, punctual, and I highly recommend her services.

Robert teaches Italian lessons. I am a terrible student frequently confusing my High School French with what Robert patiently teaches me. He is good humored, well prepared and pushes me along just enough. I am never frustrated but always encouraged. Robert always is smiling and I never feel silly with my pronunciation. Robert really is a great teacher. I wish I had met him years ago before my first trip to Italy. I look forward to my lessons all week. Bravo Robert!!!!

I have a great experience while working on English writing and speaking with Bina. She's very responsive and professional. She helped me identify my area to improve through listening to me and reading my writing samples, provide valuable feedback, and customize the materials/sessions to focus on those areas. I enjoy my learning experience with Bina and strongly recommend her.

Stacey tutored my two dyslexic sons from elementary through middle school. Utilizing her deep knowledge of the Orton Gillingham approach, she de-mystified the English language for them. She systematically taught and reinforced the phonetic underpinnings of language until they were mastered. Under her expert and caring tutelage, both my sons made tremendous strides in reading and writing. My older son graduated from college and the younger one is a freshman.

I learn English from Connor. He proves what a professional great bilingual teacher should be and opens my eyes to the American culture. I have a full time job, he always tries his best to get our class arranged. By using various appropriate methods: reading, dialogue, writing, discussion, he makes my learning interesting and helpful. I got admitted to Columbia University thanks to his help and encouragement. He inspires me to love learning, explore new fields as well.

Francesca has been my teacher for about 10 lessons. Needed some class to improve my Italian for my trip to Rome and to Sicily. Francesca was the best ever . She prepared each lesson carefully, made me comfortable and explain me everything I wanted to know. It was easy with her because she is Italian native but her English is great too. That allowed us to communicate when Italian itself was not sufficient enough for me. I highly recommend her, she is a responsible young girl, full of initiative and willing to teach proper Italian in a most comfortable way and environment possible . Five star teacher for me! Outstanding.

Mr. Michael is an excellent tutor. He puts his students first and has been very compassionate towards me during the time he conducted lessons with me. He never made money his priority. Whenever we had lessons, he would always be prepared and bring enough material that would carry me throughout the week. I am extremely grateful for his service and I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for an excellent tutor.

Victoria is a wonderful teacher and person. We started understanding and combining simple phrases while travelling in Spanish speaking country after couple of months of her lessons. And after a year I already had working knowledge of Spanish.

Mrs. Schoenwald was my 10th and 11th Grade english teacher at a special needs High School. Mrs. Schoenwald's instruction was always clear and concise; when focus was lost Marna was able to easily redirect the class back to the lesson. With Marna's guidance and teaching style our class was able to excel and enjoy learning even when what was being taught (book being read or essay) was not interesting or engaging.

I'm Polish. I’ve lived in NY for several years and attended various English courses. Kathy was my first teacher who concentrated primarily on speaking. We worked a lot on my pronunciation and general speaking skills for over two years. I have learned a lot not only about English grammar but also enriched my knowledge about the culture and habits of Americans. Kathy was very patient, a good listener and interesting to work with. I’ve really enjoying the lessons and spent very nice time with her. She was easy to contact and very flexible. I’m glad to have met her not only as a teacher but also as a person. After all these years we are still in touch. I hope she continues to teach in the future and I would definitely recommend her.
