Before I took Jacquie's bubbling and rainbow meditation class, I had no idea that I hold the power to help heal and protect myself on a daily basis. Being empathic, I pick up lots of energy everywhere I go and this can make for unnecessarily stressful and emotional times, but Jacquie gave me the tools to help cleanse and shield myself and stay comfortable everywhere I go. I also love working with the angels to help cleanse my energy and my surroundings - something I had no idea I could do until I took Jacquie's class! Jacquie is understanding, compassionate and wonderful to work with; I highly recommend her class and healing sessions.
Maria-Stefania is one of the best Yoga instructors I have ever encountered in my years practicing. I dont usually write reviews for people, but she honestly deserves it. She knows how to correct your alignment when youre doing a pose incorrectly, always has a smile on her face and I learned so much in the classes she has taught. I hired Nicky to give my daughter and I a meditation lessons and it more than met my expectations! She is very friendly and knowledgeable. After the lessons I felt not only extremely relaxed but that we now had the tools to meditate on our own. I would highly recommend Nicky!!!
Great FUN Teacher and SOOO knowledgeable!! Tendinitis of the hamstring is not fun at all. Especially when it lasts 2 years. It limits your activities and weighs on you mentally like all physical ailments. After trying many rehabilitation therapies and exercises, I still had a lot of pain and limited range of motion in my leg. There are many great yoga teachers and trainers but some stand out above the rest. Alison is so knowledgeable in the world of yoga, but equally in rehabilitation and physical therapy. Her ability to diagnose, treat , and create specific exercises for an individuals case is top notch. Alison incorporates other exercises in addition to the practice of yoga as well as creating and teaching people to have a peaceful nurturing approach to exercise and fitness. Whatever you physical goals are, I highly recommend incorporating yoga and seeing Alison. For someone like myself who was badly injured and never did yoga before and doing it consistently within very little time I saw quick results and complete healing of injuries. Alison is the real deal, in addition to you other activities give Alison and yoga a try!!

I had the pleasure of taking a private yoga lesson with Jennifer. She's an amazing teacher. I was very impressed by her experience and knowledge about yoga. She made me feel very comfortable. At the end of the session I felt very relaxed. She taught me many poses to help with my back pain. I will be taking more sessions with her.

Rick makes an invaluable asset in my life. I am in my 70s and he keeps me young and aware of the universe. I never stop learning. He teaches me mindfulness so that I keep aware of my health and the threats I can sometimes open the door to, through pre-occupations with family. He reminds me of my own value system so that I stay true to it and behave in a manner that is consistent with those beliefs. Therefore, I’m always growing. He has the ability to analyze situations in practical ways as well. But his most distinguishing characteristic is his empathy. I think this also comes from his diverse background that is such an asset in his work. One knows he’s lived it! So, he can offer many solutions. He’s very patient and extremely kind. Predominantly, he wants to help people and help them to succeed. You know he’s on your side. I do. And, I’m very grateful to have found him! Michele G
Paul is an excellent yoga teacher who is patient, helpful and very zen. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time and care to make sure my poses are textbook correct, such that I would not strain my body negatively. After a few months of working with him privately, my muscle memory has started to kick in to know how the poses should feel. My sessions start with calming breathing exercises and ends with meditation and zen mantras. I like the individual attention from Paul which cannot be had from a class. I began doing yoga for the first time under Emily's guidance and she is a truly unique instructor. I have an incurable case of ulcerative colitis and currently a torn ACL/MCL and Emily was able to put together a plan of progression designed around my specific situation. On days when I was feeling especially sick, she had me relax in poses that often improved my symptoms. She's incredibly knowledgable about her practice, but beyond that, she makes one feel comfortable and at ease while pushing themselves--even in tough situations. This comes from her strong empathy which I think is such an important factor in picking someone to be your teacher. Every single session I've had with Emily has been incredible. Couldn't recommend her more.
I have been a client of Carla Zilka's for the last 4 years. I was drawn to her studio by her intelligence, talent and her strong dedication to her students. She truly cares about making the world a better place through her teaching. She is a true life long learner and makes it a point to share all her knowledge with her students. Her classes are like none other. I always leave her studio intellectually challenged and motivated. She has been instrumental in helping me reduce anxiety and stress by teaching me recognize the many ways habitual negative thought patterns block happiness. As a yoga teacher she taught me how I held on to stress in my body, but more importantly she showed me how I held on to stress in my mind. I've learned that the simple step of changing my thoughts could dramatically change how I lived my life. She introduced me to great books and teachings that helped explain the laws of attraction and our own ability to create positive outcomes. I can't say enough positive things about Carla. I am truly blessed to have found such an amazing teacher.
Being new to yoga, I was looking for the right yoga instructor who could help me reach peaceful sustainability, teach me health maintenance, advanced meditation techniques as well as teach me the basic yoga exercises/movements. A wealth of knowledge and training along with the personal attention to my ability, past medical history and future goals is very important to me. I attended several classes at my local gym an was not at all impressed with the instructors, class size, atmosphere and lack of education on the yoga principals/history. I came across Brian on Thumbtack while looking into private instructors in my area. I was immediately impressed with his training in yoga, physical fitness and nutrition. His certifications surpassed all other trainers in the area. So I decided to give him a try. I have had several private and group sessions to date and will enthusiastically continue to practice with Brian. Upon arrival I notice that his studio was pristine and welcoming. His use of aromatherapy as well as herbal teas creates a wonderful scent and a feeling of calm. Brian provided me with a private session to get to know me as a person, my health history, my future goals and introduced me to him and the history and variations of yoga practice. This was a wonderful session and he has since tailored my on-going personal an group sessions based on the information he obtained. Brian's classes are small and personal. Brian: - speaks clearly and his instruction is well-timed with the music and movements -the music is played at a safe speed and is appropriate for the group and atmosphere -Brian exhibits strong movements and posture and demonstrates them properly to the group and offers alternatives for newcomers -all movements are safe and he offers adequate safety tips - motivation and interaction: Brian is incredibly motivated and makes eye contact with participants as well as assist with poses - has an energetic an peaceful environment - Brian's classes have all the expected components; including an adequate warm-up, cool-down and stretch. Meditation is a big part of the classes and personal sessions. I always start and end up feeling completely relaxed and at peace I highly recommend Brian to novice-advanced yoga students. Phil is terrific! I invited Phil for a session with friends on a Sunday night and liked him so much that I invited him back again for a corporate event. Phil blends meditation and yoga into a very spiritual and relaxing session. Experience with meditation is not necessary. Phil will craft a personalized experience to your goals. I wholeheartedly recommend Phil and will continue to hire him to work with us.
