About Me:
I'm Tamar, a professional concert cellist based in NYC for the past four years. With over two decades of experience playing the cello and a decade of teaching under my belt, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to every lesson.
Teaching Approach:
I've had the privilege of working with both children and adults, both privately and in conservatory settings. My teaching philosophy revolves around caring deeply for my students and ensuring that the cello learning experience is not only educational but also incredibly enjoyable.
Educational Background:
I earned my Bachelor's degree in cello performance at the prestigious Buchmann Mehta School of Music in Tel Aviv University. Furthering my education, I pursued my Master of Music and Artist Diploma at the Mannes School of Music in NYC. My dedication to excellence was recognized with a certificate of honor from Maestro Zubin Mehta and the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra.
Performance Highlights:
On May 9th, 2023, I proudly made my solo debut in Carnegie Hall as both a cellist and composer. My journey has taken me to some of the world's most renowned venues, including Lincoln Center, Amsterdam Cello Biennale Festival, The Klavierhaus, National Bohemian Hall, and of course, Carnegie Hall.
