My designer showed me drawings of what my kitchen would look like and educated me on materials so I could make the best decision. High-rise handled ordering and storing all materials for me which was a relief and before I knew it we were ready to begin! I was assigned a construction manager who was in charge of all the workers and kept me in the loop daily. Everyone who entered my home was respectful. A close friend of ours hired RIJI Home improvements and Handywork for their home addition and it turned out beautiful. Towards the end of their addition, they invited us to have a walk through and meet Francisco who was their project manager at the time. The meeting went really well and we knew right there and then that we would like to work with him and RIJI Home improvements and Handywork. We hired RIJI Home improvements and Handywork for the complete project, including design and architecture services. Our remodel involved some structural changes which required the assistance of Jamie the company's architect. All in all, the entire plan to permit stage was pretty straight forward and smooth. Although the city weren't easy to communicate with the team at RIJI Home improvements and Handywork were able to push things forward according to schedule. Francisco was a true asset for this project he was extremely helpful in moving things forward. He was very patient with us but very strict and assertive with vendors and the remodeling professionals. He did not cut corners and went into the nitty gritty details. He made sure that everything was done according to plan and was on top of all the project aspects. The city inspector was impressed with the project's progress and how organized and detailed the remodeling team were. He said that this was a team of professionals who knew their craft. Hiring RIJI Home improvements and Handywork is a choice that we are happy with. We felt that we were in good hands and that this is a company we could trust to take responsibility for their work. We were distraught but needed to move forward from ground zero.My husband and I did our homework this time around. We vetted various renovation companies and decided to go with Stake Renovations as they checked all the boxes. Off the bat Michael swept in with a detailed plan, reasonable quote, a timeline, and a great team to back it. Michael provided a vision of the apartment layout alternatives to maximize on space as much as possible. The Stake team executed the work as planned and with attention to every detail. Our home was in good hands with Michael, so much so that we decided to expand the scope to include our basement area with a new kitchen and spruced up our utility room. Of course they helped with the design ideas and provided reasonable quote for the additional work - installing air mini-split units through the apartment and basement (ceiling insert kind) - also replaced a huge large water heater tank with a space saving modern wall mount tankless water heater. This team is the real deal - they can do it all! The overall results are just night and day - high quality and truly breathtaking, sleek, modern, and amazing. Our newly finished Brooklyn apartment looks like a high-end NYC apartment.
