A veteran of the design industry, I have worked for superstars like Victoria Hagan and Tim Delvan before starting my own firm 10 years ago. I specialize in mixing high and low, & vintage and contemporary for a unique ‘ wow’ factor. BAS Magna Cum Laude in Econ, History , French, and Finance at Upenn ( Wharton and the college,) AAS in residential and hospitality design from Parsons , bfa History of Architecture, Interiors, & Furniture, 1900-present. Teach and lecture kids and at the graduate level on the side. I’m very hands on. During this Covid era , since you are encouraged to stay at home, play at home, work at home etc, and are not going out to your oases as often or at all, I encourage you to let me make your small piece of space ( or large,) your haven and urban oases. Rebecca did an excellent job keeping in mind my style and budget. She was thorough and very detail oriented. I already had the desk/couch and chairs but I needed her to help me fill in the accent pieces and give my office a personality. I was drawn to Karl springer style mid century modern scroll tables etc which would have cost about 11K , but she designed a funky young, but classic interior - the star of which was this amazing drop it modern wall mural. All of the mirrors , lamps etc were fairly cheap so the budget , including the wall mural - the total was $1500. I would definitely work with her again!

Rebecca Spinner brings passion and vision to every project she takes on. She genuinely wants to please every client and will work diligently to get every detail right, diplomatically balancing her trained opinion with the client's input. She also has an amazing business mentoring kids and "partnering" with them to design their dream-come-true bedroom makeovers. We gave our 11-year-old a Bespoke Styling bedroom makeover as a birthday gift, and it was such an empowering, creative, educational experience for her. There is no better or more original birthday present idea. Plus, Rebecca is like Mary Poppins with kids and will give any teen with designer aspirations an inside, hands-on-view of how a job goes, start to finish.

After a house fire destroyed all of the rooms in our home, we hired Bespoke styling to help furnish and decorate. Rebecca collaborated with us in creating looks that appealed to each of our styles as well as created functional spaces. She knew how to create luxury looks by blending inexpensive and functional pieces with statement pieces that really made each room feel glamorous and sophisticated. From planning and conceptualizing the rooms to placing the finishing throw blanket Rebecca was there for us. Bespoke stying is particularly wonderful at details that make the rooms feel coordinated and complete.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have lowered my rate down to $150/hr for covid. Generally unless the job is very large I use the ‘ hope polish model,’ that eradicates very time consuming and extensive hours you will pay for. The initial consul station is free then I start w packages ( so cost are somewhat uo print and you have a set time snd when that’s expired you purchase another packet. Designers get paid fir about half of the hours they actually out in. I can discount the packages further w covid and do some work remotely. Client does get my trade discount , but I do not take a percentage.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Begin w a succinct manner of sussing up their interior design personality snd usually, if it’s couples, deciding how to mix two disparate styles into 1 cohesive vision.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BFA Magna Cum Laude from the Unniverity of Pennsylvania in History, economic , and French , 10 years working in all aspects of the hotel business with high flying clients like for seasons, Starwood, mandarin to boutique spots like Parrot Cay in Turks& Caicos and the White Elephant in ACK. I have an AAS in residential and hospitality design from Parsons, and my post post graduate study was a mini bfa at Sotheby’s Institue of art in London, architecture, Interiors, and Furniture 1900-present- I specialize in mid century modern. I try to take a class at Sotheby’s here or NYSID. Courses include: art lending, art curation, art and fashion, art and business, etc etc as well as photoshop, Autocad and digital media.
