Joan Warren is the best couples counselor. She helps us to stay curious about each other and to recognize the meaning (baggage) we attach to miscommunications and fights. She shows us how to navigate the rough waters by gently guiding us back to the fundamentals. She has resurrected our love. We came to her with big challenges and we are now engaged to be married. (What more do you need to say!?). She has saved our relationship and more than that, she has given me great confidence that my fiancé and I are going to grow ever closer in love as we learn more about each other and ourselves. Joan is full of insight. She is fair. She is wise. She always has the big picture in mind. She will teach you practical techniques and big picture concepts to keep in mind. She has really opened up my approach to handling people in general! She's the best!
I was referred to Gary Katz by a friend of mine. After my experience I highly recommend the services. I used his services for couples relationship counseling. My relationship with my partner was in shambles. He was able to get us back on track by really listening to us and providing real options for our situation. He provided a safe and comfortable environment for us to address uncomfortable issues. We had issues with trust and communications. He gave us different activities to help us be more successful with our communication and to rebuild trust. I must mention that although I was there for couples counseling, the information I learned during my sessions help to save and better other relationships at work and with my family. I am really appreciative of my experience and highly recommend The NY Center For Healthy Relationships, Intimacy, and Sexuality for anyone seeking to better their quality of life.
Dr. Landsmark has saved our family. She first came into our lives when our 13 year old son was just 3. He was beginning to show signs of ADHD and impulse control and was struggling in his progressive preschool setting But, he also showed clear signs of giftedness. Dr. Landsmark administered the Stanford Binet IQ test and gave us feedback that helped us get our son into a more structured school setting with a gifted and talented program, which he soared in. We later came to her when our younger daughter began to experience anxiety which was affecting her in school and social settings and at home. Through family counseling she was able to help our daughter improve and help us as parents understand how to better support her. Dr. Landsmark has a wealth of experience and really gets children and family dynamics that can be helpful or harmful in raising healthy children. She is a "tell it like it is" kind of therapist and doesn't sugar coat the truth. But it's clear that she really cares and strives for success with all of her patients.
It was very difficult to admit our failure and seek professional help. We finally came to this point and decided to hire a counselor. As of now we had two sessions with Gene and I must admit all our fears went away. He started with describing his method, talked a bit about hid personal challenges and that momentarily put us at ease. He is not a certified counselor but he created his integral method that is easy to understand though you still need to fight your ego. After these 2 sessions we feel much better and see the light at the end of the tunnel. Frankly, I did not expect this happening so quickly and I don't know how he did it but it feels very good. I should say that Gene's services are pretty expensive but I believe it is worth every penny. I feel he is saving my marriage - I highly recommend Gene to people who want to revitalize their partnership. I will post an update in a few weeks, just wanted to share this first. Good luck!
Blair is a gifted therapist. I have been to many, and Blair helped me grow in ways that nobody else was able to. She gave me the tools to deal with the situations in life that I really struggled with. She continues to be there for me whenever I need her, but often reminds me that I don't need her like I used to & encourages me to go inside myself & find what I need. I am forever grateful to have found her.
Hi, I am Llovizna and I wanted to share with everyone, the great experience I had; and have still, with Emilio Mazzucotelli. I was going through a very rough time after I was left without a job a couple of years ago. To make a long and sad story short, a friend gave this contact, Emilio Mazzucotelli Yang Mind, so I contacted him. He listened and was interested in all I was feeling, and when I finished he started to talk and with time and patience he guided me through my own experience and I started to see how clear my path was. He taught me how to see what I really wanted to do and how to get there. Now I have my own small business, I actually enjoy working, I am happy and I am so thankfull for having contacted Emilio Mazzucotelli. He changed my life, he taught me how to change my life. I highly recomend you do the same, You have all to win and nothing to lose.
He is amazing! He is excellent for our needs because he is bilingual but apart from that he gets involved from the very beginning. He gives homework, provides literature, does telephone f/u. My husband and I barely spoke, after just one week, we were communicating more than we had EVER. His methods are well suited to marriage counseling but will come in handy with any relationship.
Ryan and been one of the best helpers through my hard times in my marriage! He has really been opening up my eyes to what I have been doing wrong! Making me think about what I need to work and making me realize what I need to work and great ways to work on my faults!

We work with the arena of Loving Kindness which is based on ancient texts for the development of Metta (literally, loving-kindness) in ones life. While there are slight variations between modern meditation practices, we adhere to the following traditional approach: Begin with loving kindness for the self. Loving kindness towards a beloved friend or teacher. Loving kindness towards a neutral person / stranger. Loving kindness towards a difficult person. Equal loving kindness towards all four people above. Eventual loving kindness for the whole universe.

You may have been in counseling, therapy or coaching for yourself. However much that might have served you, building a thriving relationship or repairing a troubled one requires a new kind of learning. Do you recognize yourself in any of these statements? - "We've lost our safety and trust." - "We argue all the time." - "The 'spark' is gone. We feel more like roommates than lovers." - "I'm afraid to deeply connect with my partner." - "Our relationship feels so superficial; we don't talk about anything that really matters." As you work with Dr. Lynda Klau at Life Unlimited, you will: - Reclaim the safety and trust that's been lost. - Rediscover yourself and your partner. - Learn how to communicate productively. - Listen and speak from your heart. - Realize when your own issues are getting in the way. - See and feel your partner as your best friend and supporter.
Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom. Aristotle Philosopher Aristotle expresses in his quote much of how I think and work, both personally and therapeutically. I believe that we begin our lives in relationship with others, whether it is your natal parents, grandparents, adoptive parents, a group home as humans, we don't live in isolation. Therefore, I work from the perspective that relationships are the origin of our greatest growth, yet can also be the source of our greatest challenges. My goal in our work together is to help you as an individual, couple, or family, to better understand these multifaceted relationships. Often these complicated relationships come intertwined with other issues which we can also examine together. As your therapist, I provide empathy, compassion and guidance to help you and/or your family work through your challenges. I work with individuals suffering from any of the following: * depression and low self-esteem * anxiety and anxiety disorders (fears, phobias, panic attacks, and obsessions) * general life stress * the challenge of entering or exiting a relationship (singles and couples) * divorce * parenting * career and money dilemmas * sexual concerns and sexual identity issues * addictions * anger management * family problems * step and blended families * body image * sexual abuse * trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder * bereavement and more Group therapy can be also very helpful. Group therapy helps people learn about themselves and improve their interpersonal relationships. It addresses feelings of isolation, depression or anxiety, and it helps people make significant changes so they feel better about the quality of their lives. Who can benefit: Like individual therapy, group therapy can benefit almost anyone. Some of the issues typically addressed include the following: * Difficulties with interpersonal relationships both intimate and work related * As an adjunct to 12-step recovery * Problems related to life transitions such as such as impact from a divorce, empty nest challenges, career changes, aging, etc. * Depression and anxiety * Medical illness * Grief and loss * Trauma * Lifestyle issues within a traditional culture * Personality disorders The group therapy session: The group therapy session is a collaborative effort in which the therapist assumes clinical responsibility for the group and its members. The groups I run last 90 minutes. Members work to express their own problems, feelings, ideas and reactions as freely and honestly as possible. Such exploration gives the group the important information needed to understand and help one another. Members learn not only to understand themselves and their own issues but also become "therapeutic helpers" for other members. How does group work? My groups are limited to 7 members. I work to appropriately select members who would be helped by the group experience and who can be learning partners for one another. In my groups, members are encouraged to talk with each other in a spontaneous and honest fashion. As a professionally trained therapist, I provide an opportunity to explore issues or concerns affecting the individuals and the group.
