Having 20 years of experience with ballet technique and seven years of professional performance with companies, ranging from the Dance Theatre of Harlem to the New Jersey Ballet, Elisa invites you to integrate elements of ballet into your exploration of tango.
Come for a session of muscular stretching and strengthening that will improve your fitness, posture, carriage, and elegance. Open level and all ages are welcome Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. (each class is one-hour long)! Cost is $15.

I've been around a few NYC dance studios (BDC, Alvin Aileys, etc.) and private instructors so I feel confident in the following assessment of Elisa.
So far I've attended a few private ballet dance lessons with Elisa since this spring and found her style both enjoyable in terms of keeping the mood and feeling positive, while still providing solid technical and engaging feedback that would improve my dancing and general performance. I've already learned so much technical terms and improved my overall body tone and posture.
Elisa is one of the most patient, well-trained, highly skilled, reliable, and experienced ballet instructor in the NYC Area. Not only does she offer extremely competitive rates, but she is also very accommodating and her schedule is fairly open and flexible.
As aforementioned, I've taken privates and group classes elsewhere, but they pale in comparison to Elisa. Elisa carries a commendable etiquette and a soothing personality; she doesn't rush or blaze through the techniques with frustration and arrogance as others have with me. So all in all, I recommend seeing Elisa whether you are an absolute beginner, like me, or a professional dancer.
