    Andy is one of the most inspirational and motivational people I have ever encountered. I can't say enough good things about both his character and his skills as a trainer. He worked with my daughter over a year ago and she STILL asks for Andy to come back. She insists that Andy is the only one who helped her get strong and who helped her postural/back issues.

    Andy is great! After quitting smoking and eating everything i can get my hands on I gained 10-15 lbs. I spoke with a few trainers and found Andy to be the most flexible. After a few sessions in, I definitely see a difference in body tone already! Get ready to sweat and complain but as long as you have a guide like Andy, you'll pull through.... Now all I have to do is start eating right to accelerate this progress! Call him!

    Andy is energetic and intoxicating. Working out with him is tough in all the best ways. He really takes the time to know your strengths and abilities and pushes you accordingly. My husband and I train together at complete different fitness levels by the end of our session we are both fully worked out each doing exercises catered to our different needs!!! We love training with Andy and recommend him highly!!

    Andy is very inspiring in both his attitude and through his accomplishments. Like many others looking for a personal trainer, I was yearning to loose weight to look and feel good but I lacked the true determination and the ability to give myself the best workout possible. The very first time we were supposed to meet, Andy only had an early morning slot available. I warned him that I am never energized first thing in the morning and dreaded the thought of waking up even earlier before work, but Andy told me not to worry. Needless to say I had an incredibly energized workout and now even prefer to workout in the mornings with Andy as it makes me feel great throughout my whole day! Unlike most other trainers who will watch you use the machines in the gym, Andy uses a combination of all the other types of exercises in order to create the best workout for you. Every day is different and every part of the circuit is more challenging than the one before. Andy spends time at the end of each workout to stretch you out to ensure that you do not get hurt without cutting into your time -- he never watches the clock and yet he's always on time. This aligns with his focus on achieving your goals. He really means it when he tells you he will make them his own, sometimes I think he is even more happy about my accomplishment than I am! What is really unique about Andy is that he sees training you as teaching you how to exercise and helping you achieve your goals, with the expectation that it will be more short term, lasting about 6 months. While I currently can't imagine doing these workouts without Andy, this demonstrated that training me was really about me, my fitness and my goals rather than a job for him, epitomizing his character.

    Andy is absolutely fantastic. He makes each session exciting and energetic. My boyfriend and I both work out with Andy together and are seeing serious changes in our bodies. I would recommend Andy to anyone because he is highly knowledgable on different work outs that suit individual interests.

    I am in my mid-twenties and was looking to switch up my exercise routine. I typically do a lot of running at the gym, but I did not feel like I was getting the results I wanted. Body Sensei Fitness with Andy Grant was exactly what I needed to lift me from my funk! Andy's tailored exercise routines do not require a gym or even weights! Andy's energy along with customized cardio/strength training workouts really helped me understand how my body works and what steps need to be done to see results. Andy's energy and positivity are contagious and keep me motivated to come back again and again! I look forward to continuing to train with Andy in the future!

    5 stars!!!!!! Andy's energy and love of fitness is contagious. I was not the most in shape person when I started with Andy, but with his training and patience I've been able to build my endurance, confidence, knowledge, and strength to the goals set during our first session (and have a great time while doing so!). As a grad student, let's just say I spent a little bit too much time sitting and eating unhealthy snacks (who can say no to free pizza??). What makes Andy's training different from others is his personalized workouts and his big picture approach to your health. He knows when to push you to keep going to the next level but also knows when you need a breather!!! He was on time and completely professional. I don't have an easy schedule, so Andy's flexibility has made a healthier life possible for me. If you want great results (I look amazing now - like grad school never happened) and to truly LEARN about fitness, health, and your body, look no further than Andy!!! Thank you Andy!!!

    I was 68 when I started working out with Andy. After just five days, I felt better than I had in 3 years. What I think makes Andy such a good trainer is that he tailors everything to where you are at, then does a remarkable job of pushing you thru encouragement and inspiration. He makes you want to extend yourself and helps you do it. He has such a great understanding of the body as well as nutrition. I have worked out since I was young. Andy's abilities - and personality - have inspired me more than any other trainer.

    I worked out with Andy for a couple months over the summer. He is amazingly talented! We worked out in Central Park. We didn't even need a gym! Nor did we miss it! He tailors each workout to you and then pushes you further. He is dedicated to the body as a whole, not just working on individual areas. Workouts consisted of warm ups, internal cardio and strength training, ab work, and cool downs. He has a unique method of combining strength and cardio work and using your own body to do it. No gym, no machines.. It is amazing. i could not have accomplished what Andy did with anyone else. He is truly outstanding. There is nothing like BodySensei anywhere else in NYC! I highly recommend Andy to anyone. Whether you are overweight and want to slim down, whether you just want to tone up, or even if you a weightlifter and think you are fit,. The truth is that regardless, you are not as fit as you think you are. Andy will show you that and then build you up!

    I've been working with Andy for 6 months now and I am continuously impressed. He has an international background and has trained everywhere including the caribbean and europe. He has a unique style that involves using the body as personal resistance. He focuses on a customized set of exercises for my needs and easily adjusts to address any problem areas I bring up - nothing is cookie-cutter about his programs. He is knowledgeable about the underlying science and theory of the exercises he puts together. He is so much more than "just" a personal trainer. Like a great trainer, he always pushes me to do more than I would myself!

    I have been going to the gym for years - taking classes and working out on my own. Boy, was I missing a beat!! I started working with Andy and my whole mind-set as well as my body began to change. He is so knowledgeable on all body, nutrition and injuries issues that I was able to find out why something hurt or was stiff. He was able to fix it every time with a simple explanation, advice and, usually, a movement or exercise. When I am not in his vicinity and have to skip my session, I really feel it and can't wait to get back to ''andy's fitness''!! He goes way above and beyond the usual routine fitness classes and will customize just for you. And I'm 65 years old - never felt better than after his sessions.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I recently attended the Equinox Personal Training Academy, an intense course on personal training hosted by one of the most elite gyms in the world. I participate regularly in group and personal training workshops from NASM, AFAA, and other accrediting bodies. I constantly read about fitness online, and make an effort to talk to others who know about fitness and are willing to share their tips and stories.
