FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing buys you almost 30 years of experience with someone (me!) who, after 5 years of part time study, dedicated another 5 years to study more than 40 hours a week, before I began teaching. Not everybody I teach can afford the cost of private lessons. When I can, I like to leave my pricing somewhat open-ended to let people pay what they can afford. In this way, people with more can help those with less. There are other factors that can affect price such as; distance traveled, length of lessons, and the number and frequency of lessons you require.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we learn about your background & history, then whether you are interested in wellness, martial arts, health and healing, and/or specific health or recovery concerns. Then we work a little to determine what type of learner you are. This helps to keep you engaged in the process. For example: Some people are more suited to learning a large number of basic movements as a routine - without going into much depth or inward focus until later. Others are more intent on learning the still and quiet internal principles right away - which has them doing fewer basic movements until they are comfortable enough to feel they have the movements “right”.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 5 years of part time study, and 5 years of full time training where I studied and practiced 4-12 hours a day, 7 days a week.
