Introduction: I love teaching — for the past six years I have been teaching violin, viola and composition to children ranging from 5 to 14. For four of those years I taught at the Special Music School, a K-12 selective public school in New York. Often, my teaching work combines performance, improvisation and composition, teaching performers to be creative, and teaching composers to think like performers, mixing classical and folkloric repertoire. I am certified in the Mark O'Connor String Method, and am comfortable teaching classical, jazz, and folkloric styles of America and Eastern Europe.
I have also been developing a teaching method and repertoire for the fadolín -- the six string violin. If you have such an instrument or would like to borrow one of mine, let's discuss!
Very excited to help you grow!
