As a working musical theatre actor, I can honestly say that the training I received while studying with Dr. Kathleen Weber has served as the primary foundation for my professional career. She taught me diction, enunciation, placement, breath support all while increasing my range. To top off all that, she's a heckuva gal. We laughed, we cried and we sang. And I'm a better singer for having studied with her. Once while in the throes of a horrendous bronchial infection/bout with laryngitis, Kathy was there every step of the way including my performances to ensure that all was going well. Dr. Kathleen Weber is an excellent teacher for students of all achievement levels. Her technique is solid, encouraging a natural and individual sound for her students. She has command of a vast repertoire and knows how to teach everything she knows how to do. She has one of the most beautiful soprano voices I've ever heard. Someone once said that "a voice has three good days in a month, the rest is technique." Dr. Weber's technique is logical, natural and comprehensive. In studying with her I received a good foundation that has paved the way for me from Broadway and the Met. to Film and Television. I highly recommend her! Active New York Actor

Kathy has improved my technique, helped me overcome some vocal problems, and widened my knowledge of Music Literature. In addition, she stresses the importance of the interpretation of Musical literature vis-a-vis the language, pronunciation and dramatic value of a piece...expressing all the aesthetic elements of music in performance.

I went Dr. Weber about 7 days before I was due to record a new album, my voice was a bit of mess and on top of that I didn't know what I was doing wrong, in short I was desperate and confused. On my first lesson with Dr. Weber she was able to restore my confidence in my singing ability and her method of teaching is the best I have ever encountered. She teaches you what you really need to know about singing. I was also very impressed with the fact that she went over the songs I was going to have to sing and gave me invaluable insight into to what I needed to do. I have recorded the record and my vocals were spotless and in some cases I sound a good twenty years younger! I owe a big part of all this to my work with Dr. Weber, and yes I plan to be her student for many years to come! 5 Stars!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Belong to professional organizations and attend master classes to get new ideas. Working on my own technique of teaching to make sure that I am "spot on" with what you need.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
While in college preparing to teach junior high music, I taught my first lessons. And I LOVED it. Getting up to do what you love every day makes life easier all around.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Teach general knowledge of voice, work with the student to get it working for them. From just singing at a bar, to preparing for performances, taping, competitions, etc.
