Charles is absolutely amazing!!! We can’t thank him enough for making our special day even more special!! He was there to help guide us every step of the way. He explained things honestly and thoroughly. He answered all of our questions. He thought of everything to ask in helping us make our vows personal and meaningful. We were both OK with just keeping the vows quick and simple.. I am so glad Charles recommended that we write a letter to one another and privately read them on our wedding day. That is a memory I will cherish forever!! Charles far exceeded any expectations we had. We received so many compliments on the ceremony. Charles is kind, sincere, fun, and lighthearted. Working with Charlie is as easy as 1, 2, 3. Charlie was extremely thorough, professional and knowledgeable during our matrimony process, and saved the day just in time! Originally we invited Charlie as a guest to our wedding, however when our previous officiant became unavailable we immediately reached out to Charlie in desperate need, to which he responded, “don’t worry I’ll take care of y’all”. Those words may read as simple, but that meant the ENTIRE WORLD to us.
Charlie’s attention to detail, and time management keep us on our toes! He created a detailed questionnaire, scheduled zoom meetings, and daily check ins to ensure we received the best experience possible. I often thought to myself, “why do I need to do this Charlie, can’t you just marry us without all this extra- lol”, but once the day came I understood that each and every detail he requested was necessary. Charlie is more than your average celebrant, his ability to craft words that reflect love, connection and authenticity was truly remarkable. It has been a longtime dream of mine ever since I saw Gossip Girl to have a iconic moment in NYC. With me going absolutely crazy with my best friend and fianc in SoHo, Tribeca and all of the spots. I thought it would always be cool to get married in the winter but I decided I am more of a spring girly. So my fianc suggested we do elopement when we go to NYC in May for our 4 anniversary. I that that was a wonderful idea, but I wanted a big fancy wedding. He said we can do both because he knew the wedding was going to be really expensive. So I did some research and that's how I found Crafting Soulful Stories. Charles was so warm and funny and gelled with my fianc and I Zack. I knew he would be the perfect officiant for my big day. He helped planned the ceremony to absolute perfection. Also him and Zack surprised me with both of our parents to come to our ceremony. Charles made sure to included some inside jokes and many touching remarks about Zack's and I's story. I stress that everyone that lives in New York or visiting the city and getting married that Charles should be your officiant. He has such a way with words, and he made me cry. He is the best, so I absolutely recommend Crafting Soulful Stories.P.S. Zack is not slick he is still going to give me my Big Gay Wedding in 2025.

We were very fortunate to work with Charlie for our intimate elopement in Central Park. From the onset, Charlie kept us organized with a detailed timeline and timely communication leading up to the event. He demonstrated considerable coordination, attention, and detail in planning and officiating the ceremony. Beyond his professionalism, Charlie is a kind and calm soul. I was particularly impressed by the questionnaire he attentively compiled to extract insights from our love story so he could write and deliver a beautiful ceremony in front of our immediate family and friends. He took it a step further and consulted with us also in the vow development to ensure synchronicity while maintaining the integrity of what we wanted to say to one another. On our wedding day, Charlie surprised us by decorating the pavilion where we elected to be married. White roses and lights draped the pavilion where we gathered to celebrate our union in front of our loved ones. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a range of pricing from $400 to $2500, depending on the package. If you check my website, you will find the full details of each package. I do Elopements, Weddings, and Vow renewals, and I do a special Ultimate Adventure Elopement.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With new clients, I have a simple step-by-step process to introduce you to my brand.
First, I will send you a guide that goes more in-depth with the eight-step process and my style of crafting a custom ceremony.
Second, I will schedule an easy free Zoom consultation so I can get to know you and your fiance better, and you can ask me any questions you would like.
Third, if you decide to book me as your officiant, I will send you the proposal package so you can look over the contract and pay the retainer fee.
After that is done, I will send you your first questionnaire to get all the logistics for your wedding.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken a 6 month Master Celebrant course that went over writing, rituals, public speaking, and so much more. Each month was dedicated to a particular task they wanted us to learn and grow with.
