Simply outstanding! We met with Rev Ronald months prior to our NYC wedding ceremony at a local coffee shop in the upper west side.. He helped us through every step of the planning process, and took care of every detail regarding our ceremony and spent so much time revising & writing things so it was just perfect. We received countless compliments from our friends & family as well about how funny & awesome our officiant was! It truly felt like we had a friend or family officiating, even though we've only known Rev Ron for a short time, the ceremony felt very personal for us. I would highly recommend him :)Sep 6, 2016Verified
When choosing an officiant, we were looking for someone who was willing to incorporate our values and beliefs into our ceremony in Central Park. Despite the heavy rain on our wedding day and last minute changes, Ron was flexible and accommodated us in our plans. He was professional, and even waited past our initial agreement time due family members arriving late. We asked for a heartwarming ceremony with a touch of humor and he delivered. He incorporated everything we asked for and his speech was memorable and beautiful. He is also down to earth and listens to your ideas. Ron excelled our expectations and we would definitely recommend him.Aug 12, 2016Verified
The PERFECT officiant. We planned our ceremony from overseas in NY central park and Rev Ron was very patient answered all our phone calls and emails. On the day of the ceremony he was the first to arrive. His speech was very emotional and lovely, we couldn't ask for more ! All the invitees were impressed by Rev Ron's performance and we highly recommend him to host your wedding ceremony ! Many thanksMay 25, 2016Verified
Absolutely amazing! We came from MI to NY for our wedding to happen in Central Park. To plan an entire wedding from different states was challenging enough I can only Thank the man above to send Ron Shepard our way, you made our day perfect!!! Just absolutely perfect... You spoke as if you known us for years, your professionalism and patience with us and my family was unbelievable. Thank you for making this day so perfect for us. Anyone who is looking for there officiant you would be making a mistake to pass this man up here!! Thank you againApr 30, 2016Verified
I loved Ron when I met him as an officiant before our wedding, but have to be honest and say I was disappointed by how our ceremony went. I felt at points he was disorganized, switched up names in our vow drafts, and during the ceremony did not tell guests to rise for the bride. I myself actually told everyone to stand! He also missed a lot of key words and jumbled up my name a few times during the ceremony. I was really surprised by this because I felt really confident going into because he seems very experienced. His performance did not show this, and it felt very unrehearsed. Overall our guests enjoyed the additions we customized in our ceremony, but our family felt very awkward a few too many times during the ceremony.Dec 31, 2017
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My fee is based primarily on location and travel time. All Central Park weddings are $350.00. If your ceremony is around NYC it would be $400-450.If outside of NYC, my fee would be $500+
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? My responsibility is to make couples feel comfortable with me by meeting and talking together to ensure them of a stress-free wedding ceremony.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been an ordained Interfaith Minister since 2009 through All Faith's Seminary International in New York City. My New York State ID is 1165600. I was extremely fortunate to study a year with Rabbi Joseph H. Gelberman during which time we studied a dozen religions. We would attend each of the various religious services, write reports after reading about their beliefs, and culminating in a 10-hour final exam to determine our understanding of these faiths and beliefs.
