FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
With a base charge of $300.00, my aim is to be affordable but fair for the level of service I provide. The ceremony I give tends to be highly personalized and I give a great deal of time to the couples I work with. I don't charge transportation costs for ceremonies taking place in The Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, or Brooklyn, but will charge a cost commensurate to the cost of my travel outside of those boroughs. I am willing to discuss discounts for couples that may want less than others or those that are experiencing financial hardship. Please inquire for particular details.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am all about making your wedding about you. The standard ceremony starts with a brief discussion of what the couple is looking for in their ceremony and an honest discussion about the cost and whether I can meet that need so that there are no surprises later. Afterwards, I set a meeting, either in-person or virtually, to get to know the couple and their journey towards marriage, in which I attempt to get as in-depth as possible in my questioning to ensure that no stone is left unturned in their story. I then offer each couple the opportunity to reach out with any questions or ideas about rituals to include, prayers, vows, guest involvement, or statements they'd like me to make and build their ceremony. Script examples are available upon request.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been actively performing marriage ceremonies since 2013 with positive reviews. I am known to be a strong listener and interpreter and highly empathetic. I also have experience troubleshooting with the clerk's offices of several counties within the states of New York and New Jersey to ensure that the couples marriages are processed and actualized.
