FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had scoliosis as a child and was given a series of exercises to do on my two hours out of the back brace I wore everyday. Ever since, I'd been fascinated with finding what works to heal the body as I encountered various challenges through my life. Eventually it became clear to me that I needed to get out of the chair I sat in all day at work and make physical wellness my life. For me, body work is 90% of mental wellness. There's no turning back!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking for a Thai Massage Therapist be sure to find a practitioner with experience in the field and who's certified. Beyond the certification, you want to know that your masseuse is patient, compassionate and has the ability to hear you and what your body are trying to say. Pilates and Yoga instructors as well. Be sure that your instructor has been trained at an accredited institution and that it was not just a "weekend training" so readily available these days. For equipment be sure that they are equipment and not just mat certified. Ask if they have referrals from other clients available. It's always best to hear from others who've worked with your therapist!
