Thank you Walter for solving our plumber issue. The price was fair, you did good work even though you were a little late. Well done!
First home, first major project (totaled kitchen & total bath remodel) how exciting and scary is that! Hired Brian and Harry to do the work, not because they were the cheaper quote (they weren't), but because they had the experience, integrity and work ethic that I hold dear. They responded to my emails, texts, and photos when i was tearing down my kitchen wall and ceiling. Came to my home to see what these unknown factors I was discovering (think headaches.) Brought in their Electrician and Plumber to take a look, even before they were hired. Brian came to a Condo Assoc meeting to answer questions and reassure my neighbors of the upcoming remodel. This was not an easy remodel (are they ever?), but we stopped, consulted, evaluated the options and moved forward with each issue and there were a number of them. Many things I was sure of what I wanted, but there were a number of items i was unsure of. I felt comfortable consulting with B & H on choices I had to make, tapping into their experience/history with other projects. Very happy with my new kitchen and bath. Would hire them again and again.
We had plumbers in the past who wouldn't take on the job because the leak was in a tight space and too difficult. AllStar had no problem tackling it and fixing the leak in a very reasonable amount of time. Great value, great work, we will hire him again when we need a plumber.
Donald, Tanisha and their 3D's renovations team have been wonderful. I am completely renovating a 3-unit building in Jersey City and brought their team in after demolition to put the house back together. They installed drywall, floor tile, wall tile, and trim beautifully. His painting team did a fantastic job painting numerous rooms, ceilings, and the entire 3 floor staircase. Donald was also happy to help with smaller projects such as cutting holes in the brick wall to install wall AC units, helping me build custom cabinets, tightening lose faucets, mounting dishwashers, leveling floors, the list goes on and on. The best part about the team is that they will do the job correctly with a high level of attention to detail. If I am not completely satisfied with something, they are more than happy to re-do it from scratch to make me satisfied. They are also very flexible with timing and have often come out on a Saturday to complete something that needed to be done. I had an issue with a plumber (not related to 3D) that I used to install the shower pans in the bathrooms that caused a leak inside the wall. Donald came out immediately (on a Saturday) and replaced the entire shower assembly to fix someone else's mistake. Another important factor to hiring someone is the ability to trust someone in your home and feel comfortable in discussing money and issues that come up in every construction job. I have been completely comfortable with the team in my house without anyone there to supervise, and any discussions on costs for additional work I am requesting has been very reasonable. I will be submitting GORGEOUS pictures as soon as everything is cleaned up to demonstrate just how great 3D's renovations has been! :)
Erik came to my rescue at a time when I had given up hope on finding a reliable, honest plumber ever again! Erik is all of those things and then some!!! In addition, I found him to be extremely knowledgeable, professional and hard-working! Erik not only was happy to give me a free estimate; he spent an hour discussing what was wrong and elaborated on several ways of fixing the problem! I couldn't be happier with the completed project!!! My Bill was "to the penny," what we had agreed upon! I would highly recommend this consummate Professional! I will most definitely be calling upon him in the future!!!
This overall experience with Craig's Plumbing was excellent!! Returned phone calls , fixed the problems, was prompt and courteous, I would not only use this company again but I would recommend to everyone who needed a plumber!
We hired 3-4 plumbers over the years and Edgar is the best. Responsive communication, reasonable pricing, flexible scheduling, top quality outcome, neat and clean, and technical savvy. Highly recommended.
We hired Gio and Benny twice since buying and renovating our 3-bed apartment. They did an excellent job with everything and are very careful and thorough with all their installations. They were also thoughtful in putting drop clothes down on our new wood floors before working, and they carefully checked all their work (cycled machines) before moving on. They first cut and re-fitted the gas pipe to our new slide-in oven range, which now hugs our counter and backsplash without any gaps. They then installed our new Delta faucet, InSinkerstor garbage disposer, and Bosch dishwasher, and they checked to make sure my water line on our new Samsung fridge was secure. Lastly, they installed our new washer and dryer. The washer needed it’s own electrical outlet because the previous w/d was all one unit running off of an existing 220 service, so they installed a new outlet for just the washer (110) and also installed the 4-prong plug and wire to the new dryer (220). It was great that they were willing and capable of installing the GFCI electrical outlet - some plumbers might have told me to hire an electrician, but instead they did it per code and did not charge me much extra. They also fixed a broken PVC air pipe on the waste line for the washer, hooked up hot/cold and waste hoses securely, and installed / connected a new aluminum duct for dryer’s exhaust. All for one very reasonable price with no surprises (I checked with a friend who is a plumber in Virginia - price was reasonable). They even checked and balanced the washer machine during spin cycle (new machines will shake / vibrate if not properly balanced). Again, they did an amazing job, and they are nice guys who are very professional. We plan to hire them again when we renovate our bathroom. I highly recommend them for your next plumbing project!
Very honest and professional. Will become my goto plumber.
Mr. Watkins was very knowledgeable in his profession. My husband and I had a bad experience with two other plumbers (not from this site). We were hesitant, but decided to go with HMSpros.com. We were very impressed with his installation work on our toilet valve. We look forward to using his services in the near future to install a new kitchen sink!
It’s very difficult to find a responsive, reliable, courteous, and affordable plumber. This one’s a keeper. Finally!
I hired Sam to add a bedroom and walk in closet to my large downstairs area. Sam is a licensed plumber and this was not his area of expertise and to be honest I was a little hesitant to hire him. But! the quote was excellent so I decided to take a chance. I am very glad I did! Sam did an amazing job! He was professional, courteous, didn't nickel and dime me, worked within my schedule, cleaned up after himself daily, and explained what he was going to do and why. I will definitely be hiring Sam again. We have already discussed out next project and he gave me ballpark quote. The only tiny negative thing was that the job took longer than originally planned but this was due to a hip injury he sustained. Other than that no concerns.
I'm so glad I met Wendell he was outstanding and most of all honest which I have noticed is hard to find when hiring contractors, plumbers etc... I had a plumbing issue since I bought my home and I was dreading looking for someone to fix it.. I'm so glad thumbtack got me in contact with bcs. Wendell was here 30 minutes after I called him, he went through everything with me. He answered my barrage of questions patiently and got to work and fixed the issue I've been dealing with for 3 months in no time. I would recommend him a thousand times over and I will be using his services for my other projects.
I've spent countless hours reading customer reviews, canvassing contractor's website, viewing multiple social media platforms in search of a carpenter that meets my criteria which is honest, skilled/knowledgeable, trustworthy, clean and considerate. Basically I was looking for a professional who would listen to what I wanted and then do it. I have found this request extremely difficult to achieve. Ergo, I will try to further describe my expectations and ultimately the carpenter I found, Frank Altieri of Altieri Construction who not only meet my criteria but also exceeded my wildest dreams by transforming my space into the beautiful, relaxing, serene room it was meant to be. A carpenter who would treat (e.g., not track mud throughout my house, unnecessary dirty hands on walls, using a drop cloth to place tools on instead of my hardwood floor) my home/items in it with respect. Frank placed drop clothes- CLEAN drop clothes throughout my house. He used plastic to cover areas a drop cloth couldn't be used. One rainy day his crew needed to come in & out of my house multiple times, walking through a muddy patch each time. His crew took the time to take on & off booties (cloth cover wraps) so that my floors would not get destroyed. These are the little things to me that make all the difference in the world. A carpenter who was as considerate of my time as they are of their own. Now having said that, I am very familiar with the day to day scheduling difficulties a tradesmans encounters due to the inability to predict the length of time each job may be. I understand the many variables (e.g., having to leave a job to get a part, delays at stores when buying materials, having to load & unload materials, setting up & breaking down jobs, travel time, traffic, discussion with customers that take longer then expected, having to get fuel, pulling off road to take a call, etc.) a tradesman must deal with. Although I understand these challenges, the tradesman I hire must be one that is considerate enough to call/text if the time needs to be changed. The office staff with Altieri Construction did contact me prior to my schedule job start date to inform me of a conflict and that we would need to reschedule. My job ended up being delayed for almost 2 weeks because of commitments on both of our ends. I have to admit I did understand but of course I was disappointed. I wanted my job done yesterday I was ready to go why wasn't he? Then I realized the world does not revolve around me and although I was hiring Altieri Construction I did not own them. So I waited and once the wait was over well... I WAS TICKLED PINK, ON TOP OF THE WORLD, OVER THE MOON, HAPPY AS A CLAM, ON CLOUD NINE IN SEVENTH HEAVEN. The job Altieri Construction did left me speechless! It was amazing and exactly what I asked for! Mr. Altieri prior to the start of my job explained in detail the steps/process involved, I must admit I can not recall these details but that is why he is the expert, the skilled & knowledgeable tradesman and I am not. I am the customer, the more than satisfied customer who can honestly say, Every cent I spent was worth it and that is a gratifying feeling! Frank Altieri, the owner of Altieri Construction was honest, he did exactly what he said he would which was exactly what I asked. They were trustworthy, clean and considerate. The areas of my house they were not working on were left just the same as the day before they arrived. Anyone searching for a carpenter/handyman? I strongly recommend: Frank Altieri, owner of Altieri Construction of Trumbull, CT www.altiericonstruction.com Phone: 203-449-4581 Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Fast and professional!!The plumber came by fixed the leak in my shower and adjusted the water pressure in less than 20min
Justin-Prompt, quick response to texts, Explains everything, easy to work with. His work-came out perfect, cleaned up everything before leaving, price very reasonable. He will definitely be our "go to" plumber.
Job was not Done on a he day scheduled, but understandable as Jim kept me updated as he was dealing with customers with frozen pipes and my issue was not that important. Job well done.
I do any small repair or service calls for a fair price. Winter is here. Be sure to check the pipes before it's too late.
