I tried for several years with YouTube videos and one other teacher in NY, but the motivation waned. I've been excited to come to weekly lessons for 6 months with Anthony. He has an unusual combination of extreme skill and extreme humility and warmth. My parents are both professional classical musicians so even though I am a beginner in guitar I appreciate his skill. Also, they have commented that I am making great, steady progress and that the accompanying theory I am learning is very sound. Anthony is flexible, allowing me to learn the songs I want to play for my newborn and my husband, and adjusting them for my level, while working theory in between, always making it fun and laid back. Working with Gaurav is a ton of fun and he breaks things down so that your playing becomes easier and engaging, not tedious. This is key for anyone just starting out or for a seasoned amateur like myself. I can’t speak for pros but Gaurav certainly is one. If you want to shred on a metal solo or play Nashville-style, Gaurav can show you how. Best teacher I’ve ever had, hands down!!"See more

I figured I would miss the in person lessons but virtual has been amazing and now I know they can be great if done well- which he does. And it's also nice to not have to leave the house! We have a shared Dropbox folder. He sends files to see and read and even recordings to practice along with in between lessons. Also, a couple years ago, I wanted to shift to guitar and so we did and it was seamless. He took much of what I learned on ukulele and used it to help me understand the guitar better. I still take lessons with Ian to this day and I couldn't recommend him more!"See more

The Creative Within
The Creative Within
Aman has been an excellent guitar teacher. He is extremely patient and works at my pace. At times we've gone into music theory, and he is very knowledgeable about the guitar. Our lessons usually last an hour but we have gone over an hour a few times. I never feel rushed and get the sense that Aman really enjoys teaching and playing the guitar. I also like Aman's philosophy towards our lessons. While we will go over technical concepts and exercises, we also make a point to just jam a little bit during our lessons. The fact that Aman and I have similar music tastes only helps. I'd recommend Aman for anyone looking to learn rock guitar.
