Kimberly Hair says, "Andres painted a bedroom in our home. The walls are wood paneled with built-ins around the window. I wanted the wood paneling to be "white washed" so that the details of the knotty pine could still show through. I was also concerned with sanding as I am pregnant and already have a toddler at home. Andres came to paint a sample of what the finished product would look like with and without sanding, which I appreciated very much. We decided that sanding was the better option and he worked hard to protect the floors and section off the room so dust would not escape. He worked quickly and efficiently and the whole job was done within four days. I am very happy with how the room looks. Andres is reliable and produces good work (he was also very sweet with my toddler who wanted to help out on the job!) Highly recommend!!"See more

FAQs

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

There are several great options for waterproof basement flooring. For example, epoxy floors are waterproof but are thicker and sturdier than paint. Make sure the concrete substrate has been prepared for application.

Tile is a designer’s dream, giving you a moisture-resistant surface that’s infinitely customizable. Rubber sheets or tiles are also good waterproof options, particularly for playrooms, workout areas or laundry rooms.

Vinyl tiles and planks imitate wood or other materials very convincingly, provide moisture resistance and last a long time. And sheet vinyl is affordable and a great waterproofing solution for those in need of quick fixes.
