Sean's been my tutor for a year now, and I've been very pleased. We've had one-hour lessons roughly every other week at my apartment where I have a keyboard. My previous experience with a piano was negligible, so we began from scratch.
He was completely open to covering nontraditional materials that I was focused on and weaving that into a customized curriculum to meet my personal goals. He's always on time and is prompt when confirming schedule changes. He has a great ear and can quickly look at a piece of music he's never seen before and catch subtle mistakes I've made while playing.
As an adult learner, I've had less than ideal time to devote to independent practice, but Sean is patient and encouraging. I always have tons of questions that verge on tangential, but Sean is very knowledgeable and corrects my thoughts when appropriate and relates them to topics we've covered.
Overall, highly recommended. I hope to continue our lessons for the foreseeable future.
