Ryan has repaired my desktop computer and my laptop multiple times. He's even repaired my son's laptop as well. Ryan is the first person I go to when there's a computer problem, because he is just that good. He doesn't only fix what I broke, but does it in a way where I can learn how to fix some things on my own. He also engages in normal conversation with me while working on my computers, so as to keep things fun. He is very respectful about only not opening my personal files, and doesn't make me feel as though I did something wrong, although probably 90% of the time the problem is my fault. Ryan is very thorough in his work and doesn't leave a task unfinished, even if that requires staying up until 6am working on my computer, and he always makes sure to follow up afterwards just in case the problem persists. I would (and have) recommend Ryan to others when they need help with anything involving technology, not just computers, but also printers and even smart phones.

Ryan Telfer has greatly helped in fixing several computer related problems for me. Most notable issues were: Network and router setup and troubleshooting. Multiple versions of Windows OS issues from complicated driver updates to fixing or removing viruses, worms and malware. Removing, updating and installation of computer hardware such as Graphics Cards, RAM sticks, Power Supplies and Backup Battery Units. He has even assisted me in several ways on my Kindle/Tablet. It seems anytime I mess up something or just get completely confused with something tech related he is willing and able to assist in getting it rectified. Never had an issue he couldn't fix and I am very appreciative. He is very thorough and quick to fix the problem to get my tech up and running so I would say everything went very well each and every time, and he has spotted other things I had messed up and fixed that preemptively also.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Computers are all about continuing education. Every day there is new software released, there is regularly new Operating Systems being made, and there are constantly new viruses being released into the wild.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Virus cleanups, malware removal, hardware troubleshooting, custom builds

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be wary of places like Craigslist and the prices people offer that seem too good to be true. The odds are that's exactly what they are. Ask yourself "why?" For example: why is that person willing to fix my computer for $20 including picking it up and dropping it back off to me? The most likely answer is no actual training, they fixed a computer for a friend...or thought they did...and went 'Hey I can make money at this', etc. or those with blanket rates like 'I'll do anything for $40.' How, they haven't even looked at the computer yet to know what is wrong.
