I used Arbor Tutors for math and English tutoring for both the GMAT and the GRE (I didn't know what I wanted to do for grad school). I ended up in the top 10% for the GRE and 720 on the GMAT. My tutor was amazing!!! I was so happy my boyfriend hired Arbor for Spanish tutoring. Super happy!
Raul was timely and very polite and welcoming. I instantly felt comfortable and eager to learn. He's very fluent in Spanish and English and also very knowledgeable in both languages. The best thing is that it's not about the money for him..teaching is his passion and he loves to help others. I learned so much in so little time. He's legit. No puedo esperar hasta la proxima!!
Jeremy has helped me extensively in both math and english. Not only has he helped me improve my grades but he has helped me get ahead of my classmates. Currently Jeremy is helping to prepare me for the ACT and I am prepping for an excellent score! Lastly, Jeremy makes himself available to help me at any time, including outside our sessions.
I took English lessons with Maura for 6 months. During the classes, we put the emphasis on conversation. We talked about a large number of topics : Politics, Society, day to day life... It gave me much more confidence in my relations with English speakers and, coming from a European country, it also helped me to understand better the American culture. Maura is open, friendly, she makes you feel at ease and she enjoys teaching ESL.
It is hard to find a good English teacher, but James is excellent. He knows the elements of good writing and can present abstract topics really well. James never gives away answers. He directs by asking insightful questions so you learn to become critical thinkers. James has taught all my three kids, and I cant be more pleased with their results. If you are looking for a tutor, think no more. Hire James! He is the best! We just got notice that our youngest got accepted to Cornell!
Humberto is very polite, prompt and personable. I've only had 2 lessons so far, but I think he's a very good teacher.
We needed our website to include a section in Spanish and some letters and flyers to also be translated into Spanish. I tried to get the work done myself, being fully bilingual English/Spanish, but before finishing I asked CITC to review it. I was amazed by their professionalism, expertise and knowledge. I will never again attempt a translation myself. They completed the work for me completely and efficiently. I was extremely satisfied. Thank you CITC!
Lenore is so professional, she is helping me to improve my English pronunciation, she takes time to explain to me every doubt I have. She has experience in teaching. I recommend to anyone for her methods.
I went through Ray for an English tutor for my daughter. Both my experience dealing with Ray to assign a tutor specific in English-background in communications, IB and AP essay writing-as well as my daughter's experience with the tutor were outstanding. I wouldn't hesitate to work with this team again. Thank you, Ray!
Dillon is really good & professional with Piano tutoring. So far my son Yashas is enjoying the lessons. Although Dillon has a busy schedule, he manages to be on time for the lessons just that sometimes we do not get the full 30 minutes of lesson time.
I have a great experience while working on English writing and speaking with Bina. She's very responsive and professional. She helped me identify my area to improve through listening to me and reading my writing samples, provide valuable feedback, and customize the materials/sessions to focus on those areas. I enjoy my learning experience with Bina and strongly recommend her.
They helped me succeed on the TOEFL test. They also helped my skills with business English. I am thankful to them and recommend them.

We all know when it comes to the SATs there is guaranteed to be a lot of stress. As a sixteen year old high school student going through the SAT process, I can vouch for this. My anxiety began months ago. I admired people who had started their SAT prep a year before, while envying students who were just naturally good test takers, scoring 2000 and up; however, when you dont fit into either of those categories you start wondering what now? At that point an SAT tutor seemed like a good idea. Enter Danny Ahn. The first time I met Danny, I was unsure what to expect. He understood my confusion and began to structure a plan of action. He soon established the level I was at in English and Math, and then focused in. After a few sessions I began to understand the kind of approach required of me. I have worked with Danny Ahn weekly since around late October or early November, 2013 and our work is ongoing. It is now Feb. 17, 2014. I have found Danny to be a good communicator and listener. He is dedicated, nurturing, focused, and hardworking, going beyond his allotted time with me to help me achieve my goals. He genuinely cares about my mental well being as well as my academic standing. He is readily available on the phone and via text, and has proven to be accommodating with regards to scheduling. I believe that Danny is pushing me in the right direction and I am feeling increasingly more confident with regards to the dreaded upcoming SATs. Danny has an excellent understanding of the SAT requirements and I feel that with his continued guidance I can achieve my goals.
Robert teaches Italian lessons. I am a terrible student frequently confusing my High School French with what Robert patiently teaches me. He is good humored, well prepared and pushes me along just enough. I am never frustrated but always encouraged. Robert always is smiling and I never feel silly with my pronunciation. Robert really is a great teacher. I wish I had met him years ago before my first trip to Italy. I look forward to my lessons all week. Bravo Robert!!!!
Mrs. Schoenwald was my 10th and 11th Grade english teacher at a special needs High School. Mrs. Schoenwald's instruction was always clear and concise; when focus was lost Marna was able to easily redirect the class back to the lesson. With Marna's guidance and teaching style our class was able to excel and enjoy learning even when what was being taught (book being read or essay) was not interesting or engaging.
My english level and fluency has improved significantly after working for 6 months with Michael. I have reached an advanced level!
I like my ESL lessons with Marion. She taught me not only the language but also the American culture, which I'm very interested in. Besides that, she is such a nice person that talking with her is always enjoyable.
Mr. Michael is an excellent tutor. He puts his students first and has been very compassionate towards me during the time he conducted lessons with me. He never made money his priority. Whenever we had lessons, he would always be prepared and bring enough material that would carry me throughout the week. I am extremely grateful for his service and I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for an excellent tutor.
Linda is a professional of the highest order. She was genuinely interested in my development as a student and as a professional. She was always looking for ways to improve the class and learning environment, as well as to adapt the curriculum to my needs and interests. In addition, she always treated me with the uttermost respect. Finally, I must add that Linda not only has an acquaintance of the English language but also of literature. Thanks to Linda’s assignments and recommendations, I discovered several great authors and books that I was unaware of.
