For us, executing an event is more than simply taking care of the who, what, where and when. We also care about the how and why – the why makes us understand our client’s motivation for wanting to put such an event together and the how tells us how our client would like guests/attendees to walkaway feeling at the end of it all. With all of this in mind, our goal is to partner with you to bring your vision to life from concept through to execution. We love to see our clients and their guests have an amazing time, and not have to worry about anything going on behind-the-scenes. Yvonne was a godsend on our wedding, which we celebrated in July 2019. To think that we were so close to going without a wedding coordinator is mind-boggling because we could not have had a smooth, enjoyable day without her. She is a masterful professional who made sure all Is and Ts are crossed, encouraged us to have fun, and also made sure we got through our to-do list in time for the big day. On the wedding day itself, she managed communications with the wedding party, our vendors, our families, our guests...she had all the bases covered. I was definitely an anxious bride, but Yvonne was confident, guiding, and firm so by the big day I could really focus on finally taking it all in. Even at the end of the night when we hit some logistical challenges, Yvonne was there and graciously helped us with the tear down and getting us home. We were so well-taken care of, anyone working with Yvonne as their wedding coordinator/planner is in good hands! We couldn't have done it without her, and we are thankful to have had the privilege of working with a delightful person such as Yvonne.

We cannot thank Events by Mayven enough for making our wedding day go smoothly! We booked the day of coordinator package for our wedding on 1/20/2023, and we are very pleased with the services that Yvonne provided from beginning to end. During the weeks leading up to the wedding, Yvonne met with us to discuss all logistics and ensured that we worked out details in advance. Yvonne is a GEM. She was our wedding coordinator for our May 24th wedding on the start of the memorial day weekend. From the time we met, she was very professional, funny and consultative. She provided suggestions and tips without being intrusive, understanding it was OUR special day. Also, let me not forget to mention that Yvonne gave birth to her first born little girl in the middle of the planning process. I was concerned at first, because being a mother myself I know priorities get flipped upside down when you have to care for your little one. However, Yvonne balanced it well and still came through for us like a shining star. The timeline she created for our wedding was PERFECT. We didn't feel rushed and she kept us on schedule. We deliver quality service(s) unique to each customer based on their needs, and the details of their event. As such, pricing is tailored to each customer and the service we provide.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Consultation session to discuss clients needs and expectations for their day. Send over quote based on consultation, and once we agree and sign contract then we get to work!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have a background in advertising and public relations, and as part of most of my PR projects, I had to plan and coordinate a variety of events for clients. Ranging from small intimate listening parties, book launches to networking panel sessions and award shows. My pivot to the world of wedding planning came after planning my wedding few years back. I knew my husband wouldn't buy into the idea of an annual wedding celebration (this is also not financially responsible for us...lol), so I figured why not help other couples ensure that their celebration is stress-free, and a blast!
