We loved having Sailing Stone perform at our farm. The band has a beautiful sound whether singing their original songs or performing a cover song. The way they harmonize together is mesmerizing. The crowd seemed to think so, too. We look forward to booking them again!
Your jazz band was even better than what we were hoping for! It added just the touch we wanted - and such a fun group! Thank you! Can't wait to hear you again.
Sean and his band provided ideal lively jazz music at a local event. They were super easy to communicate with beforehand, and they played beautifully to a large very appreciative crowd. I strongly recommend them.
My husband James and I had the privilege of having Spencer and Sequoia perform at our wedding at a winery in Virginia this summer. It would be a huge understatement to say we were SO pleased with how everything went!!! Spencer and Sequoia were amazingly professional and joyful to work with and super gracious with everything. It was the first time I had worked with a band of any kind so from the second we signed a contract, they were extremely responsive of our needs and questions, provided a very lengthy and diverse song list and even said they would be willing to learn song requests for a nominal fee. Because they're based out of New York, they had to make the long drive the morning of and were totally on board to work with our tomeline and the venue set up. They were also super self sufficient so we didn't have to worry about providing them equipment as they assured us they had everything they needed and required little set up time which proved to be true. We had them perform during our ceremony, cocktail hour AND reception but they did it like champs and our guests could not stop raving about how great they sounded! Not only were they just downright talented, they were a pleasure to have around as well. At one point, my nephew who sung a song for us was experiencing technical difficulties with his sound system so Spencer right away let him use his, which was a total lifesaver. Bottom line- customer service is beyond amazing with this lovely husband wife pair and we are so happy and grateful we could have them be a part of our special day. THANK YOU Spencer & Sequoia!
Dianne, Monk and Sam of the Talking Machine headlined our fundraiser, music festival wedding in August 2017. They are fabulous musicians - huge diversity of ability - their own unique take on cover songs, and their own original music which is totally awesome. They also look like rock stars, have the stage presence of rock stars, but also somehow are organized and helpful and super responsive on email. I would recommend Talking Machine to anyone hosting an event or any bar who wants to draw in more customers. If they had a standing set at my local bar, I would go every week! You won't be disappointed!
Joe Sang to Me is absolutely amazing!! They can sing any genre and any song and put their own spin on it to make each song unique. Joseph Gehrmann is such a passionate vocalist & guitarist that you feel every song. He also has original music from his band, I Am Fighting, that mixed with acoustic covers make it such a beautiful combination. After hearing them play, I commissioned him to compose music for two of my upcoming films. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
I follow Nico's gigs as regularly as possible and have been doing so ever since her fledgling days as a singer song-writer. I love her original music as it has captivating melodies and heartfelt lyrics . She is quite tenacious in getting herself "out there" and in so doing, she leaves me breathless with all the things she does to promote her talents at any one time. I like to go with friends to hang out at her various gigs and be entertained by her while casually enjoying good food rather than a cover band with very loud music. Nico is a very talented singer and musician who plays different instruments equally well.
Aodhan (Aidan) is exceptional in his perception of where you stand as a guitarist and who you are as a person. He is incredibly talented himself as a guitarist but never uses that against you. Instead he is able to draw from his own talents to understand where you are as a guitarist and help you achieve your own goals, but even better, help you to realize that you have more to offer than you realize. He will give you personalized lessons that apply to you and your own level. He has the ability to apply pertinent lessons to the very beginner, with enthusiastic encouragement, and also be able to help someone who's got the basics, truly apply that towards a deeper understanding of what they are actually doing on guitar. I have taken lessons from other guitarists, who simply don't take the time to understand where you are in your skills, and just want to fill the time with talk and misdirection. Aodhan, isn't concerned with that nonsense, he is interested in making you better at the guitar and understanding what your abilities are on this instrument. I've gone from simple chord progressions and simple strumming to more complicated and off beat strumming under the direction of Aodhan. He really is very good at contouring a lesson based on your very own level and goals, but also lets you know a little bit more of what your capable of that you might not realize yet. I highly recommend him as a teacher, but you will also find him to be a friend as well. You will also benefit form going to hear him in action as he plays with several bands throughout NYC. I have been with him for a few months now and have been truly motivated to keep honing my skills on the guitar. I appreciate his respect in that and ability to keep me wanting more of myself.
Sweeter than Honey rocks! Seriously- can't say enough about how great it was to have them at our event. Ruth, Sam and Josh are all incredible musicians, they are super tight as a band. Song selection was out of this world. They played all our favorite classic rock songs with a really young feel and enthusiasm. On top of it all, they were incredibly professional- set up and take down were seamless. But most importantly, they really connected with audience who completely loved them. We will definitely party with them again- You should too. (and don;t let them play without some RocCumbia!- trust us)
This is not your typical gimmicky cover band. Doll Parts pay tribute to Dolly Parton while bringing their own style to the stage. These wickedly talented musicians know how to get a party started--they played my wedding and a year later I am still getting raves about the band. Doll Parts are a glitter bomb ready to go off! Logistically, the band was incredibly professional and prompt. Communication was clear, efficient, and courteous throughout the booking process.
I have seen Malorie's live performance with her band Soul Be It at Patchogue Theatre and her vocals and stage presence are outstanding. I honestly can say Malorie is one of the best vocalists on Long Island. I always recall that particular show where she opened for well known '70's Disco' artists. I really enjoyed her stage to audience connection. Malorie covers of a wide range of music genres including Disco, Funk, Motown and current dance tracks. Very impressive.
I'm Aziza, a song writer and artist from New York. One day many years ago I was looking for someone to help me put my music together in a studio. I called a number out of a Village Voice ad, and that was the beginning of a long music production relationship with Bruce Whitcomb. I'd have to say I'm currently mostly a jazz/R&B/musician/poet in my own right. I have been a musician my whole life due to a great part to my musical dad and having been strongly influenced by R&B artists when I grew up. Jazz is in my blood, and I was very glad to learn that Bruce had a deep love of it too. In many of our recordings in the beginning, I'd have Bruce program drums and then I'd play all the other parts. When I write, I get very specific about bass lines and parts I hear, and being a pianist primarily, I've always played my own keyboard parts. One day Bruce offered to play electric bass and guitar on a tune. I didn't really know he played back then! He sat back and attentively watched me put my music together without interjecting any more than that, which was in many ways refreshing- until I heard what he had to offer to enhance my music from his own perspective which was a lot. He always engineered the sessions very quickly and accurately, and for me as my own producer, that is really important in the studio. Anyway, his contributions became invaluable, and from that day on I was always interested to see where his parts would take my music. We have probably recorded about twenty songs together over about a twenty year span or so. I have my own band of great musicians and play primarily around the east coast. I have headed up the late night jazz jams at the Blue Note in NYC, been the primary keyboard sub in Oprah Winfrey's broadway show The Color Purple, been Natalie Cole's musical director and pianist on a several tours, and have had songs of mine covered by artists such as Ahmad Jamal, Natalie Cole and others. Bruce is a close friend and a very musical soul. I prize our musical relationship as much as our personal friendship. I know he can always do wonders in the studio and recommend his abilities highly to any aspiring artist on any level
I hired Peter to play an outdoor party that I do every year to entertain friends and a few clients. This is the first time that I hired an entertainer, I usually just play my stereo in the background. Peter changed the entire atmosphere of the party. For starters, he sounded like a full band with his backup tracks. Then he accommodated so many of my guests requests. He is like a literal walking library of music. He did all kinds of pop rock hits and even accommodated a request for Sinatra and Roy Orbison. Then I asked for some Motown and dance. He literally covered all of our requests and even entertained with a few impressions of stars. We had a blast when Peter did a few sing along tunes. I didn't know so many people love to sing. Well, I definitely recommend Peter and plan to have him back next year.
I started studying guitar with Rob when I was about 20 and continued for six years or so. He is by far the best instructor I ever had. He taught me amazing technique and gave me great knowledge of theory. I am actually now a professional musician and I've played arenas opening for Bon Jovi, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains and many other bands
We hired the Greg Smith Group for an outdoor concert at our residential facility for teens and young adults--they were awesome!! They were extremely engaging and got everyone involved. Our teens were singing, bopping and dancing along the whole time. They were very professional, arrived on time, stayed late and went out of their way to make sure all of our residents had a great time. They talked to all of our residents and even signed autographs :) They really put on a great show!
Hired Anthem for a birthday party and it went great. They sound exactly like the bands they cover and put on a great show. They're pro, no goofy embarrassing talk between songs and the price was right. The sound was great and they DJ'd during the breaks. Would definitely rehire. Thanks guys!
Revolving door band is an absolute pleasure to work with. Extremely talented professional musicians covering an extremely wide range of music. From rock to grunge to 90’s to funk and beyond they covered it all. Especially enjoyed their multi song medleys to keep the energy of the party up all night. Very much look Forward to future work with this band. If you are looking for an extremely versatile band for your event, look no further.
Very cool electric duo! They play a great assortment of cover tunes plus some truly inspired original music!

We are professional, reliable, easy to work with and reasonably priced. We take our work very seriously and always try to provide the customer with the best service possible. Some bands just do what THEY want to do, ignoring song requests and sometimes drinking too much and playing too loud. The Jonzes keep it professional for the entire night and save the partying for after the gig. Of course we keep the party going for you and your guests!
