Joan Warren is the best couples counselor. She helps us to stay curious about each other and to recognize the meaning (baggage) we attach to miscommunications and fights. She shows us how to navigate the rough waters by gently guiding us back to the fundamentals. She has resurrected our love. We came to her with big challenges and we are now engaged to be married. (What more do you need to say!?). She has saved our relationship and more than that, she has given me great confidence that my fiancé and I are going to grow ever closer in love as we learn more about each other and ourselves. Joan is full of insight. She is fair. She is wise. She always has the big picture in mind. She will teach you practical techniques and big picture concepts to keep in mind. She has really opened up my approach to handling people in general! She's the best!
We had the pleasure of working with Father Callahan. He was very helpful, punctual and such a kind speaker. He even arrived earlier. We were blown away by his sermon and it made our Roman Catholic ceremony that much special. Our friends and family were delighted with the father too. They were deeply moved to tears. We're native Spanish speakers and he added a Spanish passage to the ceremony. We can't thank him enough!
Vlada was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. She is very professional, and down to earth. From the time we first met to discuss the wedding day, and the wedding day itself I cannot say enough. My family and my wife and I loved her, and look forward to seeing her again!!!
Having met Dr. Anna is one of the best things that's ever happened to me. I had been in therapy for over a decade with various counselors, but now I know the difference between a therapist and a Therapist. She is warm, compassionate and creative, no two sessions are the same, and she seems to have an incredible repertoire of techniques at her disposal. She is always goal-oriented, makes sure that results are really happening, and always explains everything so clearly as you have never heard and never understood before. She has the greatest sense of humor, her academic knowledge is amazing, and her fine-tuned sensitivity boarders on the mystical. Yet she is always funny, down to earth, and real. I've never laughed so much in therapy sessions before! :-) I am so grateful, ... because I am finally discovering what "free" and "happy" really mean!
Alison helped me much more than other counselors I've tried. She's insightful and perceptive and helped me see things differently and understand how I can change relationships even if the other person isn't willing to. Alison returned all my calls promptly, was professional, and punctual. Bust most important is the way she helped me.
Gary does a great job with counseling and helping to improve relationships. My family and I decided to get counseling to help us sort out some family issues. My family was initially worried about counseling and didn't know if it would help us with our issues. I kept pushing the issue and I finally scheduled an appointment with Gary. Gary is so easy to talk to and to work with. He makes the entire experience easy and it felt good to have our issues out in the open. I didn't feel like any of us held back anything and we all felt comfortable around him. If you are seeking counseling, Gary would be the choice counselor for your needs!
Alice is a very perceptive counselor who can zero in on what is relevant, and do it in a way that is not threatening or annoying even though the subjects are personally difficult. I would seek her assistance in the future.
Dan Minuchin is an outstanding family therapist, mental health consultant, trainer, teacher and clinical supervisor. I have had the fortune of working with him and observing him in all of these roles over the past several years. I initially worked with Dan about 10 years ago when I was a supervisor at agency that provided family therapy and services to families struggling with adolescents and families involved in the juvenile justice and child welfare systems. In this setting, he provided case consultation, supervision, and training to a team of social workers and family therapists. This model included live supervision and the use of a one way mirror. Dan would also accompany therapists on home visits to provide live consultations in the family's home. I later became a director of another similar family service program. I was able to hire Dan to provide Structural Family Therapy training to my entire clinical staff, as well as consultation, individual and group clinical supervision. His guidance and training was very well received by my staff and their skills as family therapists improved significantly. Dan is really a master trainer and has worked as a family therapist, teacher and trainer for several decades. He has an incredibly diverse personal and professional background and experience working with families of all walks of life. He is sensitive and well informed of the needs and experiences of families of color, immigrant families, LGBTQ families, blended families, Jewish Orthodox families, families struggling with substance abuse and mental illness, delinquent teens, children with special needs, and families dealing with divorce, loss and separation. I have referred many families to Dan and I feel confident that he is able to work with the most complex families of all backgrounds. Dan is thoughtful and empathic and has very high ethical standards. His structural and strategic approach to addressing problems is highly effective and families often will see progress in a short amount of time. I am a family therapist and clinician as well, and Dan has provided me with outstanding clinical supervision and guidance and has been instrumental in my own professional growth as a therapist and clinical supervisor.
Thank you Ed for helping my husband and I see through a difficult time in our marriage. You were one of the best counselors we have visited. Thank you!!!
Bishop Parrott has been a blessing from the day I met him. I lost a loved one and he gave spiritual and grief counsel. Every session that I attended was phenomenal! I would recommend Bishop Parrott as a spiritual counselor as well as a leader to those which are lost...
We have met with Marie 3 times and have come to a calmer place in our marriage. Marie is very attentive to our problems. Communication is key, and Marie stresses that, also not reacting with unresolved emotions is key to get to our happy place once again. We will continue with this very much experienced and educated counselor. Every time we leave the session we feel much lighter and focus on repairing our 26 year marriage. We highly recommend Marie Staubitzer!
Eve and I worked together for a year and half. I had seen another therapist a few years prior who I liked, but it felt too much like a friendship, so I began editing myself. I felt comfortable being vunerable and not editing with Eve. She's an excellent listener, with insight I would not have received from a friend or close family member. I highly recommend her.
Right now we are on our three week with our counselor and I must say she has start to help break the walls of communication and I now with the continuing sessions we will be able to work thru our major issues... Will highly recommend to any one... Sait
Marcela is an extremely caring, committed and empathetic professional. I always felt safe, secure and protected in working with her. She is an excellent listener and always took great care to respond to all my assignments with detailed commentary, suggestions and insights. She helped me to understand my behavior better and to give me the tools and clarity I need to deal with my challenges. She also went out of her way to follow up with me and keep in touch after the program ended to make sure I was keeping on track and meeting my goals. It was a real pleasure to work with someone as kind, nurturing and compassionate as Marcela and I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a skilled and caring counselor.
Husband and I were going through some work related stress coupled with the dynamics of a new insta-family. Lines became blurry, and we became totally fixated on the business, as well as other challenges occurring within the family unit. We knew we had to make some changes and super quick! I let was then that I discovered Amy and several visits later, we were back on track and remembering why we even married in the first place! We simply lost sight of the basics. She doesn't beat around the bush in letting you know! Will help you get the resolve you're searching for by setting you back on your path and merely guiding you along the way. Gave us the tools we needed to be "solid" and as a result, are able to love one another again. We're very grateful for her help, had it not been for her, this review might have had an alternate ending!
Many people seek therapy to improve the quality of their experiences. Whether you are looking to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, increase communication with a partner or loved one or develop successful strategies to focus on healing, the right therapist can provide the necessary tools for building strong relationships. My style of treatment is guided by the philosophy that people are the architects of their own happiness. Together, we can break down false belief systems and design a world focused on fulfillment. My specialties revolve around marriage and family therapy, including relationship issues and sex therapy, for which I have received professional training to provide counseling for sexual dysfunctions. Additionally, my experience in life coaching includes working as a counselor in higher education, creating strategies for success through goal setting, encouragement, and accountability.
