it was my daughters first lesson James was awesome! We will definitely be going back for more lessons!
She is a great violin teacher.
Lee's home is inviting, his learning space is comfortable and his knowledge and humor are both wonderful. Lee has been helping me learn and apply music theory to the guitar and I look forward to working with him every week. His price is very reasonable considering his advanced knowledge. I've noticed that he is also great with kids so I recommended him to my sister and now she is learning from Lee is well. The first day my little sister came in, we brought the toddler along with us. The first question Lee asked was, "Do you like tools? Where's my tool box?" Lee leaves the room and comes back with a toy tool box and allows the little one to play while he taught my little sister the basics of the guitar. Lee is great with kids, funny and his lessons are interesting. That being said, I've seen Lee sight read like a beast. He isn't just for kids. We've been powering through some scales as well as studious work from Frederick Noad. I also take lessons through a jazz master's student and I would miss his lessons too much continue my musical journey without Lee. Thus, I see both instructors. With Lee, you get your money's worth and you don't fall asleep. You feel like you are learning. He powers me through the material and keeps my attention on task.
Joseph has been great! He's helped to cater lessons and challenges to fit my goals with violin. I would definitely recommend him!
Doreen started teaching my oldest son, Darin, 8 years ago when I was pregnant with my fourth son, Gavin, who has been taking lessons from Doreen for the past year as well. The first time we met Doreen we heard one of her students play and were amazed. Happily I can say that thanks to Doreen my oldest son plays just as well now and fills our home with never ending music. Thanks so much Doreen!
Laura is an outstanding musician who has the rare ability to make music lessons fun for children. She "gets" kids and knows how to engage their interest. I am a trained musician, and I am totally impressed with the techniques she uses. I highly recommend her!
My daughter and I are new to the world of making musical sound. John has a great way of explaining the violin in a way that both an adult and a 7 year old girl can both get nderstand.
I decided at age 60 to take violin lessons and was fortunate to find Yalira as a instructor. I found Yalira to be focused, dedicated to my growth, patient and to have enough of a sense of humor that made lessons enjoyable. I have always thought some people were meant to teach while others were meant to do. Yalira is once of those rare people that excel at both. I am 15 months into the experience and enjoying every minute. I highly recommend Yalira as a instructor.
Before working with Julian my child was not really engaged in the violin, but for the past two years the excitement has been there. Julian gets into the music and makes the lessons entertaining as well as educational and productive. It is nice that we can have our lesson at home, it makes it much easier for our busy schedules.
Amber is a fantastic teacher for so many reasons. Here are a few: (1) She personalizes her lessons to your musical background, ability, and goals: I have about 20-years of piano experience that she took into account. She specifically selected repertoire and etudes to help fill in the gaps in my violin-playing ability. However, I also saw her successfully teach (several) (very cute) three-year-olds, who clearly were taught differently than I. (2) She keeps teaching, even after the lesson is over: She often sent me emails with extra tips/thoughts in the few days between my weekly lessons. When I had trouble learning a particular bowing, she did extra research online and asked her colleagues, looking for additional pedagogical techniques to help me. (3) She also keeps her studio well-stocked with many useful tools, including various tuners, chin rests, shoulder rests, and metronomes. She kindly loaned many of these to me so that I could try different things before I committed to buying them. Furthermore, when I was looking to buy a new bow, she graciously agreed to come with me to the violin shop to help me pick (free of charge!). Amber clearly cares deeply about her students, going above and beyond to nurture their musicianship. I would not hesitate to recommend her as a teacher.
Very good with children

I am compassionate about everything I do. As an engaged student, I work my very best to be at the top, and succeed in and outside of the classroom. I hope to make learning easier and interactive for students, as they complete their high school careers, and become interested in university studies.
