We had AJ install a new whole house attic fan. Although it was a replacement, we still felt better having someone do it for us. We were glad we did because there were a number of problems that came up which AJ solved. Very glad we hired him.
GFI was not responding in kitchen. Greg immediately acknowledged my Thumbtack electrician request. I was contacted with an estimate of repair; set an appoinment; sent a date/time reminder; notified day of (to provide me with a set time within one half hour) and a call prior to his arrival. Evidently, unbeknownst to me, my husband had toggled the GFI switch. Greg quickly discovered there was no electrical fault and did not charge me for the service call. Thank you, Greg!.
Very happy with Vernon's services! He was very quick to respond to my request on Thumbtack and was able to come out for fan installation and wiring just a few days later. Very profession and on time. Would definitely recommend him and would use him again in the future!
I hired Mike to lay tile in my kitchen and my door walkways, change my kitchen cabinets/knobs, hang up and paint some dry wall and insulation in my garage and build a rabbit hutch. Excellent work and a great price.
I had a basement bathroom exhaust fan that was already installed but I needed to run the duct work to the outside of my house. I was on a tight timeline b/c I needed it set up before I could drywall. They were able to come the next day. They had car problems but still came to my house and got the job done even though it was a late day for them. They worked with me to investigate how my foundation was laid out, (it was confusing b/c I have an addition on the back where the vent was coming out). I thought I needed to cut through the concrete but through investigating we found we didn't have to do that and we could funnel it in a crawl space behind the addition. The price was fair and they worked quickly. I liked that they didn't charge to come and quote me and they took the time to listen to me. Thanks again guys!
F and S Electric service person was first to respond to my partial power outage . He spent about 25 minutes dealing with short circuit, checking other lights/fans, potential wiring problems, and assessed bathroom fan and determined that it did not require his help. After picking up he submitted bill upon request and was paid immediately. His price was reasonable.
Great experience overall. Staff was friendly, went out of their way to find a part to fix our whole house fan and also fixed 2 GCFI plugs that were not working. Explained why he could not use my plug because it was not up to code. I will call them again when I need anything.
Scott did an outstanding job on installing a ceiling fan in one room, adding a light and remote on a very high ceiling fan in another room and switching out a fan motor in the attic. He also did something other jobs around the house.
I hired Donyvan and Sherri Wait to replace a ceiling fan in my dining room, and to trouble-shoot an attic fan. They finished these two jobs quickly. It turned out the attic fan had a burned-out motor, so Donyvan replaced it with a new and higher-output fan I had purchased. While Donyvan was up in the attic, Sherri quickly adapted a new light fixture to a separate/new ceiling fan. She promptly solved some minor problems she encountered, including a broken "ceiling wiring box". Also, the old ceiling fan included a dome-shaped enclosure that covered up an area on the ceiling, about 14 inches in diameter. So removal of the old fan exposed a 14 inch diameter area covered with "pop-corn-type" ceiling finish (all of which had been removed from the rest of the ceiling many years ago). The new fan I had purchased didn't cover up this (pop-corn-finished) ceiling area, but Sherri explained that I could dampen the old finish with a sponge then easily scrape it off. I did that in about 5 minutes, before she installed the new fan. Then they moved on to several other small projects (replacing about 8 outlets with outlets I had previously purchased, repairing several light fixtures and re-wiring several switches that had been incorrectly wired by a bathroom remodeler). All this in just 2 hours! I highly recommend Sherri and Donyvan, and will not hesitate to call them again if I ever have any electrical needs.
I had several small jobs completed for $205: fan installation, curtain, and grab bar installations, etc. I was pleased with the result and will use Dayton Handyman Services again.
John did a tremendous job. New whole house fan installation was expertly installed, quickly, efficiently, and with great professionalism. Didn't leave a speck of dirt or dust behind-looks like nothing ever happened. Could not be happier. Highest recommendations and will definitely call on John again. Thank you!
