- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Thumbtack charges a lead fee sometimes up to 25% of a job which makes it risky for me to bid on small projects that arent clearly defined. I do not pass this fee to the customer. As a result, I often have to pass on projects that are vague or poorly defined.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to text or call first to establish the scope of work. I am happy to provide free estimate on-site and offer advice or referral to customers if the project is not a good fit for me.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a jack of all trades who has been working around construction and renovations for more than 20 years.
