Design to Market changed our feedback from "outdated and overpriced" to "we are writing an offer". Jo was easy to work with and very flexible. She spent a lot of time talking with me about my ideas and concerns. She sent us a list of reasonable recommendations and we worked on most of them ourselves, such as taking down curtains and painting brightly colored bedrooms. The things we didn't change, such as the outdated colored counter top in the office, she turned into something beautiful with her staging. I was very impressed with the furniture that Design to Market used to stage. It was high quality, wood, and very trendy. The artwork, lighting and accessories were abundant and perfectly placed. I would certainly not waste time trying to sell a house that wasn't staged again. I have already recommended this company to neighbors that are thinking of listing.

We really debated about staging our 2 bedroom 1 bath house after we moved out. The market was pretty healthy, and we were fairly confident it would sell. Each time we went back to the house after moving out it just didn't feel right. I called Jo on a Friday afternoon. She had it staged the following Thursday. It looked amazing! She has such an eye for design. The only part that I didn't like was that in 4-5 hours she was able to decorate my house better than I had in almost 10 years. She made the rooms look bigger and really defined all the miscellaneous spaces. At one point we were worried one room was looking a little dark because of the super cloudy snowy days we were having. She had extra floor lamps in later that day. Even answered her phone sick with the flu and arranged everything. Responsive and clear about pricing. Willing to use just your pieces, your pieces and her pieces, or fully stage if needed. The price is for staging and the first month. Then there is a daily price after the first month which was very reasonable. We kept it staged until we had cleared inspection and appraisal. She gives free estimates so no commitment. It is not as much as you might think. I would 100% recommend you at least get an estimate and see if you can swing it. Worth every penny in my opinion. All the feedback from agents was that it showed better to much better than similar listings. We were pending in 13 days. Thank you for a job well done! Couldn't be happier... unless you would come stage my new house for me.

When we made the decision to put our empty house on the market for sale we wanted to optimize and enhance the charm the house already had to show it as its best.We felt like when a house is empty it can be difficult for some to visualize accurate dimensions, furniture placement etc., creating too much leeway for an inhibited imagination thereby, creating stumbling blocks., will our couch fit?, where would we put the t.v.?, is it too big?, this room looks too small for our bed etc.. We live in such a visual culture we wanted to close the gap on any possibility of negative hindrances and optimize our idea with a clear vision that would speak to many potential buyers.In a fully furnished staged house, the answers are built in by creating a carefully crafted space with unique modern furniture and dcor that speaks to even the most inhibited imaginations. It fills in the gaps in the buyers mind of endless, positive possibility instead of negative unfeasibility, ergo, creating space for a vision of seeing themselves living in the house.So to achieve our goal to create a space of positive possibility we enlisted the help of the team at Design to Market with the hopes it would place the house above others by fully staging the house with current furniture, dcor, bedding, bath etc. We met with Jo at the house for a walk through to discuss her thoughts, get a vision and put our plan in action. Once we had a list to market date, we scheduled the staging set up date. The team was on time and so incredibly professional! After they worked their magic IT LOOKED INCREDIBLE! Definitely something out of a designer showroom. We were so very pleased with what they did and felt very confident in our decision to work with this great team at Design to Market. Everyone, beginning with our consultation with Jo, the staging team, designers and de-staging team were a delight to work with! Absolutely incredible team!!!!Our realtor listed the fully furnished staged house with great photography and a 3-D video tour we had multiple offers within 24 hours!We are pleased with our decision to work with Design to Market. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The pricing for staging with Design To Market is prepared on a custom basis depending on the needs of each client. We do not charge to visit the property and prepare an initial quote. When a full consultation is requested, we do an on site review of the entire property and a written report is presented for $235.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We speak with each client prior to scheduling a meeting. The process is explained and we proceed with an appointment based on the clients' preference.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Jo Potvin, the owner, has an undergraduate degree in Maketing from McGill University in Montral and an MBA from Xavier University. Lead Designer, Lisa Mellott, has an Interior Design degree from Iowa State University. Prior to starting Design To Market in 2004 Jo spent 18 years in the corporate world in sales with companies such as Xerox, Lexis Nexis, and Dun & Bradstreet. Lisa spent the equivalent in Interior Design in several cities throught the US. Our team of stagers have a range of design related degrees and experience. Design To Market has been staging homes in Greater Cincinnati since 2004.
