When we made the decision to put our empty house on the market for sale we wanted to optimize and enhance the charm the house already had to show it as its best.We felt like when a house is empty it can be difficult for some to visualize accurate dimensions, furniture placement etc., creating too much leeway for an inhibited imagination thereby, creating stumbling blocks., will our couch fit?, where would we put the t.v.?, is it too big?, this room looks too small for our bed etc.. We live in such a visual culture we wanted to close the gap on any possibility of negative hindrances and optimize our idea with a clear vision that would speak to many potential buyers.In a fully furnished staged house, the answers are built in by creating a carefully crafted space with unique modern furniture and dcor that speaks to even the most inhibited imaginations. It fills in the gaps in the buyers mind of endless, positive possibility instead of negative unfeasibility, ergo, creating space for a vision of seeing themselves living in the house.So to achieve our goal to create a space of positive possibility we enlisted the help of the team at Design to Market with the hopes it would place the house above others by fully staging the house with current furniture, dcor, bedding, bath etc. We met with Jo at the house for a walk through to discuss her thoughts, get a vision and put our plan in action. Once we had a list to market date, we scheduled the staging set up date. The team was on time and so incredibly professional! After they worked their magic IT LOOKED INCREDIBLE! Definitely something out of a designer showroom. We were so very pleased with what they did and felt very confident in our decision to work with this great team at Design to Market. Everyone, beginning with our consultation with Jo, the staging team, designers and de-staging team were a delight to work with! Absolutely incredible team!!!!Our realtor listed the fully furnished staged house with great photography and a 3-D video tour we had multiple offers within 24 hours!We are pleased with our decision to work with Design to Market. Design to Market was nothing short of amazing. We received an "asking price" offer 2 hours after the first showing. I was very skeptical, but believe me, it works...we closed this week. Jo and her team know what they are doing and are very non-intrusive. Jo decorated the house for the kind of buyer who would actually buy our house. It was nothing like what we had. Jo's team gets in and out quickly and your house looks simply amazing. I would give them my highest recommendation. Our family and neighbors could not believe it. We used Design to Market to stage our condo for sale. They were very responsive and reasonable. We had the condo on the market for awhile with minimal showings. Our showings were rated "good to fair" by most relators prior. As soon as we had it staged and the new pictures up our showings went up 3X and our feedback went to "excellent". I fully believe we would not have sold our condo without using their services and photos. Would totally use again when selling a property. They were prompt and very courteous and worth EVERY PENNY!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The pricing for staging with Design To Market is prepared on a custom basis depending on the needs of each client. We do not charge to visit the property and prepare an initial quote. When a full consultation is requested, we do an on site review of the entire property and a written report is presented for $235.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We speak with each client prior to scheduling a meeting. The process is explained and we proceed with an appointment based on the clients' preference.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Jo Potvin, the owner, has an undergraduate degree in Maketing from McGill University in Montral and an MBA from Xavier University. Lead Designer, Lisa Mellott, has an Interior Design degree from Iowa State University. Prior to starting Design To Market in 2004 Jo spent 18 years in the corporate world in sales with companies such as Xerox, Lexis Nexis, and Dun & Bradstreet. Lisa spent the equivalent in Interior Design in several cities throught the US. Our team of stagers have a range of design related degrees and experience. Design To Market has been staging homes in Greater Cincinnati since 2004.
