I thought I would have to cancel a tour my husband and I had been planning for months because a previous hip tear became aggravated. Dr. Barney got me started on small movement exercises that slowly built up my back and hip while letting the inflammation heal. After 3 weeks I was able to do stairs again and walk without discomfort. As a result my husband and I were able to go on our trip. Dr. Barney is very thoughtful and thorough. He diagnosed the problem immediately and gave me exercises to support the weak areas in my hip and back. He is extremely capable and I recommend him highly to anyone with pain issues.

I recently completed several months of PT at Alineaperformance. Dr. Brian Barney always LISTENED to my issues and made appropriate adjustments to my exercise plan. Dr. Barney provided excellent detailed routines by email after each session, including video links for instruction. Always positive and encouraging, Dr.Barney not only demonstrated many, many exercises, but taught me how to manage the workload and not overdo it. Make Dr. Barney part of your recovery plan!

I worked with Brian Barney, DPT throughout the winter and early spring to address an overuse injury in my knee. He helped me return to running without any pain, and I even improved my performance by setting a personal record in my most recent half marathon!He provided one-on-one coaching both in person and through a user-friendly app that his practice uses. The exercises he recommended were perfectly suited to my training and conditioning needs. Brian is professional, courteous, attentive, and an excellent physical therapist.
