FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My clients can either purchase 1, 5, 10, or 20 session packages. The cost per session goes down for a larger session package. I also provide partner or small group sessions. These sessions are not as individualized but it is more cost-effective, and some people find it comforting to have someone they know working out with them.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The initial meeting is a free fitness consultation that is about 30-45 minutes. I show the client around the studio and familiarize them with the equipment. We always discuss goals and motivation for working out, because that is a very important part of making an exercise plan. I usually perform a couple tests to see the client's strength and cardio capabilities. This is great for getting an idea of their current fitness level and where to focus on for improvement. I also typically test body fat, and waist and hip measurements. This doesn't have to be done if the client feels uncomfortable about it. Although, it is a great tool to see how someone has progressed in their weight loss.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been personal training for two years now and I have learned a lot. I feel very confident that I can help motivate and educate people to reach their goals. My certification is through The American Council on Exercise. I am also working on my last semester at Cleveland State, finishing up my Master's of Exercise Science degree. School and work have broadened my knowledge about fitness testing, exercise prescription, proper form, and progressions for working out. I highly enjoy helping educate people about exercise.
