I hired Arbor Tutors to help my son with chemistry and math He ended with As. Great tutoring. Great price. Their system is better than what I expected.
I needed a tutor to help me with some math concepts I needed to pass my Pcat. Jesse was very knowledgeable and thought me fast steps and ways to solve different problems. He is also a very friendly, nice man. Very easy to talk to. I passed my Pcat and must say he contributed to it.
Nick is a great tutor, he helped my Son prepare for his ACT. My Son says he breaks problems down into terms he could easily relate to. My Sons confidence has increased tremendously. Even his teacher at school has stated to me that there is a marked improvement in his classwork. I highly recomend Nick if you need help preparing for ACT or SAT testing or even if you just need help keeping up in class.
Bernard was a great tutor. I would not have passed my college algebra class, if it wasn't for him.
Mr. Danny is extremely professional and knowledgeable ACT tutor. With his background In STEM subject he will be great resource for someone who is preparing for ACT/SAT
I am prompt and reliable. If I do not immediately know something, I will spend extra needed time until I understand it enough to effectively teach it.
I first met Dr. Susan at the teachers' lounge of a college where we were both faculty members. I was impressed by her extensive business background and her outgoing, friendly manner. I suggested to her that she become a Thumbtack ACT tutor. She applied and qualified. This week she accompanied me on two sessions, where she was a runaway hit with the students -- and with the parents. I predict a highly successful Thumbtack tutoring career for Dr. Susan Puwalski. I teach your child to be a human being and a well rounded educated person not a simple robotic test taker who only takes tests well but is unable to quote Moliere, or Shakespear or T.E. Lawrence or be able to communicate with someone in french or spanish or to know that the world is a large place and it can be theirs with a basis of education.

I offer academic tutoring services. I have two advance degrees and two undergraduate degrees. I enjoy teaching and helping others learn. Ever since I tutored college students at Franklin University, I have always wanted to pursue education by teaching learners. Now that I have a post master's in college teaching, I understand that every student is unique and have different learning styles. Every educator must know how to hone in on these learning styles to ensure that learning takes place.
I have been a 6-year substitute teacher in many subject matters. I do work well with 5th-8th grade students but have been licensed in the state of Ohio during that time as well. I don't just teach subject matter through the repeating process, but I instill in my students skills and tools that can be built upon for life.
As someone who was very recently a student himself, I have a closeness and familiarity with the particular brand of confusion that ails confused students that most older professional tutors do not. Contrary to popular belief, however, this confusion isn’t a bad thing - quite the opposite, it is essential to intellectual growth, the sweat of learning. Just as well as I know the feeling of not quite “getting” something, I know the immense joy that comes with overcoming it and excelling as a result. Over my 4 years as an instructor, I’ve seen the wonders that giving children a deep conceptual understanding of the basics, and showing them why everything they learn is exciting and interesting, can do. If given the chance, I believe I could help your child succeed with flying colors in academics and beyond.

Hello, my name is Quin. I am currently a senior at Ohio State University majoring in history and international relations with a minor in geography. I was recently accepted into Ohio State University's master of education program which will begin this summer. In high school, I was a tutor for the guidance office and tutored other high school students in all subjects. For the last two summers, I have been a camp counselor for Young Authors Writing Project (YAWP). This camp is for students grades 4-12 with an interesting in improving their writing skills. I also spent time in Costa Rica this past summer teaching English as a second language to children ranging from 6-18. Since September, I have been a student teaching at Franklin Heights High School here in Columbus. As you can see I have substantial experience working with children in an educational environment. From my experiences, I have learned that every student learns differently and requires different methods to achieve understanding. I like to set reachable goals for my students and acknowledge their progress. I truly enjoy tutoring, which is why I am pursuing education as a career.
