Introduction: For a short while prior to graduation, I was the tutoring supervisor of the department, and would help design the policies used to evaluate the scheduling system and other tutors. With all these facets, I know how to make a sessions productive and how to identify what problems a person is having in their class, as well as to identify what type of learner they are: visual, auditory, kinesthetic, etc.
I like the moment a student has a realization of knowing a topic that they thought was initially difficult. To have someone who was initially frustrated with their subject knowledge to suddenly become confident is success in my mind.
