- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates start at $12 per visit. If the client lives further out, I may add a $2 per trip surcharge.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The customer usually contacts me through Thumbtack, then texts or calls me to describe their needs. We then find a convenient time to meet at their home to meet the pet (s) and see where the supplies are kept. I can pick up a spare key at that time, or make arrangements to get a key. Then we discuss payment arrangements. Many clients leave cash or a check with a note with any special instructions, vet and other emergency contact information. Some clients prefer to pay me when they return and I bring the key back to them.

I have had pets in my life for over a half a century.
