Introduction: Hi! Last year, I taught two adult group Spanish classes, and my students will tell you that they had a great time learning with me.
My language teaching philosophy is that you must communicate naturally and have fun in order to really acquire a new language!
I can adapt my approach to you and your needs. If you have already learned through context and real-life activities and prefer a more technical aspect, we can focus on grammar. However, if you're not sure what's the best way to learn, here's what I would suggest:
Children learn in the real world, first by listening, then by speaking, and then later by reading and writing. Learning another language is like becoming a child again -- everything is new and exciting!
I like to use a variety of methods to teach through context, including popular music, TV shows, online newspapers, and games.

I've taken about two months of introductory Spanish from Abigail, and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to learn Spanish, both because it is clear that she knows Spanish language and culture from personal experience and also because it is clear that she knows how to teach language. She uses a wide range of teaching resources, including group games, jokes, Spanish songs, and out-of-class worksheets. In addition to immersing students in Spanish, she has taught formal grammar rules which explain the mechanics of Spanish. All of these teaching methods complement each other well.
She does a good job of connecting with the people she is teaching, and is very accommodating to people with concerns or needs. During college, there were some classes in which I wished I could go on learning indefinitely; that will definitely be the case for me while taking the Spanish class Abigail is teaching right now.

I have been attending Abby's Spanish classes for the past several weeks. She is well prepared for class and makes it fun, interesting and effective. I look forward to each class because I have learned so much in such a short time. Abby is a terrific teacher and I appreciate all her hard work in helping us learn to understand and speak Spanish.

Spent several weeks under her Spanish teaching. She has very clever, creative ideas to enforce language and prefers immersive activities. She stresses associating words with objects instead of English counterparts. Has provided work exercises, homework, and powerpoint presentations along with speaking activities to build language.
I personally know she has spent years in Spanish speaking countries and is quite fluent. Highly recommend for any Spanish endeavors.
