I had my computer repaired by Marty last week. Superb service - he had the problem diagnosed and repaired in less than 24 hours. Less than 2 hours after I had dropped it off Marty called me to let me know what the issue was and called again later that same day to let me know that he was able to locate the part and what the cost of the part would be in order to get my authorization for purchase. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?PCFIXME pricing is pretty straight forward, for repairs dropped off at my office the price is $75 (+ cost of parts if any). This price is for any service, virus removal, dc jack repair, hardware or software issues etc. For remote desktop services I charge $75.
- What types of customers have you worked with?Most of the jobs that I currently do involve virus removal. Since new viruses come out all the time, antivirus programs may not catch the latest virus out there. Usually I run five or six separate programs to ensure all the malicious files have been removed. The second most common repair jobs are laptop dc Jack replacements or resoldering. Over time these weaken or the pin inside breaks and the jack need to be replaced.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Ask the provider questions to ensure they have the appropriate training and knowledge to repair or diagnose your computer. Most times your computer can be repaired with out the loss of your personal files. Make sure the provider can do this!
