Introduction: Hello! If you have come this far, you are likely ready to make some changes to your lifestyle. I am an American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certified Personal Trainer. As an athlete myself, I have a background in Cheerleading, Volleyball, Soccer, Track and Field, Rowing, and Basketball. I am confident in my ability to help you achieve your health goals; whether it be weight loss, strength training, cardiovascular endurance, diet improvement, or simply learning healthy habits. My goal for you is to become a stronger person in and outside of the gym. I operate out of the Self Made Training Facility in Hilliard, Ohio. SMTF is a private facility and we have taken the protocols very seriously to continue keeping each individual healthy and safe. The gym is non-membership and consists only of trainers and their clients. - I offer In-Person and Online Fitness coaching. She's an amazing trainer and overall, a wonderful person. During the consultation, she was patient and listened to my fitness goals and then proceeded to describe an ideal exercise plan based on what I wanted to achieve; and she laid out the different plans she offered without pushing anything. When training, she's tough but kind and challenged me within reason. She's also extremely knowledgeable about the human body and the different equipment; she makes a point to explain why we're doing certain exercises and what muscles they work. I feel much stronger since training with her and always look forward to my workouts. Highly recommend!

Alyssa knows kinesiology! She knows how to build muscle by helping you learn mind-body connection. I’m a 46 year old woman and former HIIT junkie who dabbled in power lifting. After my knee surgery one year ago, my physical fitness and weight lifting routine ceased. I lost my mojo. Didn’t know how to lift my leg muscles without worrying about injuring myself again. During the pandemic, I gained 10 pounds of FAT. Thankfully I found Alyssa. I’ve been training with her for 30 days now, have already lost my muffin top in my jeans, and my knee and quad strength is springing back! She’s a scientist.

Being an older woman it is hard to find a personal trainer that will work with my ability and still be motivating. After being sedentary for many years Alyssa has given me small exercise goals that I'm finding easy to stick with. My body fat is really high and I need to lose close to 100 pounds. When we first started she gave me strength exercises I could do at home because I was intimidated to workout at a gym. She also challenged me to walk 5,000 steps a day. It seemed like so much but she told me to use a smart watch to help me track it with an app. I realized I was already accomplishing 5,000 most days so she pushed my goal to 10,000 a day. Her help with finding my macros with her Nutrition Training plan has made me more aware of my food choices and I've even started meal planning. Checking in with her is really easy and I like being able to track my progress with the inBody assessment. I'm really excited to continue working with Alyssa and hope to be Fit by 50!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Single Session - $45 I offer different package deals based on the addition of nutrition protocols and individual training protocols. Flexible payment options are available.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    For In- Person clients: We schedule an initial consultation to get to know one another and discuss your goals. We complete an InBody Assessment and discuss your results in relation to how they may affect your progress toward your goals. If you are comfortable, I ask that we complete a ~20-minute workout. This allows me to assess your overall fitness and mobility while providing you the opportunity to inform me about how you prefer to be coached. Online Clients: We schedule an initial consultation to get to know one another and discuss your goals. This consultation can be completed either by phone or Zoom/Facetime. (Online Clients in the Columbus, OH area can schedule and In-Person consultation)
