Trent is an excellent teacher who inspires you to learn your favorite songs while learning about the guitar itself at a reasonable price.
If you want to learn to play the guitar, whether you are a beginner or more advanced and want to improve your skills and knowledge of music theory to become a professional player, then I highly recommend contacting Justin Slusher of Ohio Guitar Pro, Fairborn, OH. He has both a prestigious academic background (graduate of the selective Berklee College of Music, Boston MA.) and professional experience acquired by playing in multiple bands from LA to Atlantic City. As a student, what I appreciate most is his patience to let me learn at my own speed without feeling pressured. He truly loves teaching. He gets as excited for me as I do when I learn a new skill or play a new lead solo piece correctly. I feel free to ask (or re-ask) any question about music theory, get advise regarding equipment, or just to ask for a refresher on a previously taught playing technique. Justin has a remarkably trained ear and can write note-for-note instructions on how to play any song that I show up to my lesson with. He has been my instructor for about 10 years ... I have learned that learning is a never ending process ... it just depends on how good you want to be. Whatever level you are at, i'm confident that Justin Slusher can take your playing to the next level.
After trying to learn guitar casually on my own for a few years, I decided to seek out lessons. When I compared a few places I felt like Brian Armor would be a good teacher. I started taking weekly lessons a few months ago and chose a favorite rock song to learn. Since then I've added several songs and feel great about my progress. Brian is good at teaching things quickly. He knows how to adapt to my pace and scale it down. He gives me a good sense of where I'm at and what to work on, including reminders to avoid my bad habits. I'm impressed that Brian can listen to a song and is able to play it by ear, with the right tuning, key, and rhythm. Overall I'm having fun, playing songs I like (not just scales and chord progressions), and looking forward to getting better. Guitar lessons are my favorite part about Mondays! I highly recommend guitar lessons with Brian.
My son took guitar lessons from Andy for 2.5 years and loved him. He will get you up and playing songs in no time.
My son, Alex, says, "Josh is an amazing guitar teacher! He is very knowledgeable in music and is qualified to teach anything from beginner guitar to professional. He has been a joy to work with, someone who can get along with anyone. Josh helped me prepare for my college guitar audition, (which was the primary reason I sought out a teacher this past year) and it went very well, I was awarded lots of scholarship money and was accepted into the music program in Nashville I applied for! He has been so helpful already that I have decided to keep taking lessons from him weekly to better prepare myself for music school this Fall, when I go down to Nashville for the start of my Freshman year! Thank you Josh, you have been a blessing!"
John has been my guitar teacher for several years and he has been a wonderful mentor. He is very skilled and does an extremely good job at explaining his musical knowledge. Whether it comes to jazz, classical rock, blues, alternative, or really any genre of music, John is an expert. He teaches lessons and plays at various venues with his band or as a solo act. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an experienced guitarist and teacher.
My name is Tim Economu from the band Ol'Dixie Wrecked Geoff and I played in a band together for a good little while I was a experienced guitar player when we got together Geoff is a great teacher He help me advance my skills to much higher limits than I ever expected myself to be able to do In my experience with him I learned a lot . He will push you to play better He is not just a great guitarist but a great teacher also. I would highly recommend him not only for beginners but experience to guitar players as well
Had a great lesson and learned a lot! Now it's up to me to practice!
I spent years learning guitar from anyone anywhere that I could. I went to instructors working out of mom n pop guitar shops, that would charge $20/hr. to teach a song out of a tab book I HAD PURCHASED!! I always thought that was insane! Other instructors would teach proper technique, but then cut me loose, citing "There's nothing more for me to teach you". I always felt that technique should be the first thing learned, and then basic barre chords, followed by songs/tricks/etc! Wouldn't that make more sense? The Van method will assess your level of ability, and devise a personalized practice regiment that's just right for you. Even if you're a beginner, or moderately seasoned, there's always something new to discover!
You learn to play better, so you can touch more hearts! I teach beginning guitar (all styles), classical guitar (all levels) and music theory and improvisation. I am a former university instructor with 30 years of experience.
I believe in what I do.
I have a degree in voice with a minor in guitar. I have had a private voice and guitar studio in my home since 1973. I am currently teaching all the guitar classes at Miamisburg High School, and I am also the vocal director of the school. I specialize in guitar students who want to learn how to sing with their instrument, or the vocalist who would love to learn to accompany themselves on guitar. However, I do teach guitar and voice separately, if that is your desire. I specialize in "proper" vocal and guitar technique, and I teach many genres and styles of music.
I am a guitar and bass teacher in the Springboro, Ohio, area. My personal musical journey started with piano lessons at age four, and I have been playing and teaching guitar and bass for 26 years. I have received musical theory instruction at the college level as well as from some of the Cincinnati area's finest guitar and bass instructors. My teaching pedagogy blends method with theory through an in-depth analysis of various metal, rock, and/or country styles and techniques that are indigenous to the needs of the student. I am here to help you accomplish your personal musical goals.
I teach individual and group guitar. I teach private drum and advanced jazz drumming. I teach songwriting.

I'm a 45-year-old male. I've been playing guitar since I was seven. I also love to teach people who are serious about learning.
I provide guitar lessons for beginners for any age. All you need is the desire to play. I have been playing for 29 years and compose my own original music and lyrics. I also play the drums, keyboard/piano, and sing/write. I have a simple and honest approach, putting the most emphasis in my lessons on the creativity aspect. I believe that learning any instrument creates an interest in other areas such as science, philosophy, invention and design, and much more. Music is universal, and the benefits that come from learning to play an instrument cannot be obtained any other way.
I provide guitar lessons for almost every genre of music and every age. I teach music theory as well. For anything you want to learn, I will teach you.
