Lea Michelle was the officiant for our wedding on 10/10/2020. From the moment that she messaged us back through thumbtack until the moment she left our venue she was absolutely amazing. She responded quickly, offered advice, had multiple planning sessions, helped both of us with our vows, and wrote a beautiful ceremony. Every detail that we told her about us and our story was portrayed in our ceremony which felt incredibly personal. She really made sure that religion was brought into our special day which we greatly appreciated. I would recommend Lea Michelle for any officiating needs.

Lea was a wonderful officiant for our elopement! She made us feel comfortable through the whole process and answered all of our questions along the way. The way she personalized our wedding script was very unique and so special! We are so thankful for her thoughtfulness and time!

I don’t even know where to start and have honestly taken some time to try to process all that went on during my wedding day. Michelle was not the right fit and I didn’t feel comfortable. It seems that many of my guests have their own Michelle stories. I spent a lot of time creating order service sheets, and day of timelines. Michelle had very little input in the preparation and when provided with information, she seemed to be pretty unorganized and did not read them. Michelle started the day with prayer advising me to let go and to allow her to put things into motion however she did not seem to be organized nor did she listen to direction. Michelle spent more time hamming it up with my mother-in-law (who had done absolutely nothing to help prepare beyond day of set up) and complaining about me than paying attention to the flow of the day. During set up, Michelle was extremely anxious and agitated. At one point, she snatched a cell phone from my brother‘s hand. This was blatantly disrespectful and a disregard for any boundaries. When I arrived to the reception hall, I noticed that there were several square tablecloths on circular tables. I purchased circular tablecloth that would kiss the floor so that there would not be any space. Michelle and my mother-in-law spent time arguing with me over how no one would notice and it wasn’t a big deal. There were also other issues with understanding the process and following direction as I had requested. For example, Michelle assisted people in putting plates on the tables rather than having them at the buffet line when I tried to correct this, Michelle argued with me. It seems that many of my guests have their own Michelle stories. My friend had to step up to do the coordinator’s role. Michelle argued with my friend because she was having to do Michelle’s job. Michelle was reluctant to come to the church to try to organize the wedding party walking down the aisle. She eventually at my insistence and had some strengths in having ideas for directing the service however, when it came time for the wedding, my candlelighter were directed to proceed down the aisle after members of the wedding party and we’re still lighting candles at the beginning of the wedding march being played. At the reception, Michelle argued with me about the order of dismissal. I advised having our mother‘s tables dismissed first, then the kings table. This is a cultural difference that I find important. My plan was for guests to take a picture with my husband and I before getting their plates. Michelle wanted to quickly dismiss guest to the table and was very much so out of order. Our gift box was missing at the end of the day, Michelle did come to the house to go through our truck and help us try to locate it. This was not located until later. After the wedding, Michelle offered to return items to the reception hall that were erroneously packed up with our things. I later learned that she was using me to make contact with the reception hall to try to make plans to work another wedding. Michelle had the venue coordinator’s information. She used me to make another contact.
