FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I take some time to get to know them and assess their needs. I will then create a sequence of poses that will help to meet their goals - we'll try it and adapt/modify as needed. So the first couple of classes will involve a lot of conversations to be sure we have an understanding and both feel good about our new path.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I go to workshops and trainings every chance I get. I recently took a Yin Yoga certification workshop and a Thai yoga massage workshop and will be utilizing those into my classes. I have also completed power yoga and hot yoga extended certification. I pursue continuing education for sequencing and assisting workshops, and head/handstand and arm balance workshops. I love to further my skills.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I fell in love with yoga as it gave me exactly what I was hoping for and so much more. I was looking for weight loss and toning, it delivered that slowly but surely, when I look back at my pre-yoga pics it's quite obvious. But even more pronounced was how it made me feel. My lower back pain almost disappeared and my peace of mind appeared! My stress level went way down and I became so much more comfortable in my own skin. I was doing it so much I finally decided I might as well teach it.
