There are many variations of wedding ceremonies that can be performed; I am delighted to help you explore how to make this special day, your very own. As an ordained minister, I am authorized by most of the States in the United States of America and the Caribbean including, The Bahamas, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, U. S. Virgin Islands, and West Virginia to solemnize marriages both afloat or on shore.
Services can be sectarian or non-denominational, traditional or contemporary. One popular option around the Great Lakes as well as coastal areas and in the Caribbean, is to have a nautical themed ceremony (I am also a USCG Licensed Captain) ashore or afloat. We can discuss additional options to make this your perfect day, one that you have thought about, and one you will remember in the years to come, as I can provide a service ranging from a basic traditional wedding to a full dress modern Nautical wedding or service somewhere in between. As a Civil War and World War II reenactor I can also perform your wedding in period attire either at a reenactment event, or at a stand-alone wedding.

My wife and I got married at city hall on 5/14/16. It was important to us to have use of the beautiful building without a plethora of people running around. Our photographer recommended that we hire an outside officiant so that we could have our ceremony after the hours that city hall performs their weddings. After searching around and asking other people who they had used, I found Reverend Kevin Garrison. At first I was concerned because he is an ordained minister, but after talking to him, I realized that performing a civil marriage ceremony as opposed to a religious one was not an issue for Kevin. I quickly emailed him as this was a last minute change in dates. Thankfully he was able to accommodate our day and he agreed to marry us. We didn't meet until right before the ceremony yet my wife and I felt comfortable with him immediately. He somehow made a civil marriage ceremony very special and I am so glad we found him. One big plus was that Kevin took care of turning in all of our paperwork for us, allowing us to celebrate with our guests. From our initial meeting all the way through the end of our ceremony, Kevin was wonderful to work with. He always responded to emails within a few days of me sending them, answering all of my questions and providing me with additional info that I didn't even realize I needed to know! He was calm, cool, and collected at our rehearsal, letting everyone know what to do and where to go. Kevin is organized, yet flexible, and let me customize my entire ceremony based off a combination of his structured suggestions and the readings/verbiage for the ceremony I was interested in using. Kevin is polite, easy-going, and open to your suggestions. You will not be disappointed with Kevin as your officiant for your special day!
