Bethani has been great to work with! I've used her for a couple of different projects now and couldn't imagine using anyone else again. I was referred to her via a business associate and really liked how precise her work was. She was thorough, swift and kept me informed each step of the way. She's my IT "it" girl!Sep 23, 2014

- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am always doing CE. Most of my continuing education comes from lunches and dinners sponsored by various technical institutions and I belong to several groups and forums online that require a certain amount of testing and reading to remain a member. I also read a lot and subscribe to several trade magazines.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project? Not all IT people are created equal. Everyone has their field of expertise and some have many areas of expertise. One IT person may be great for you, but may not be a good fit for someone else. You should shop around, ask your friends, and research to find the technician right for your needs. Just because someone says they are an IT professional, that does not actually mean they are. Ask for CompTIA Certifications. CompTIA is the gold star in computer certifications. Also, Dell, Apple and Microsoft Certifications are good to indicators. Even if someone has certificates, make sure they have real world experience, that's the most important thing of all. 90% of my computer knowledge came from doing the job, meeting the clients, having to solve complicated and rare issues in a very short amount of time out in the real world. School helped me get my foot in the door, but the job itself trained me to be the technician I am today.
