FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I subscribe to several trade publications and participate in several online forums. This is typically how us "geeks" stay informed with what's going on in the industry.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice is to find someone with a significant amount of computer experience and life experience who also has a passion for technology and can then communicate the possibilities with you.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
My love for computers began in the 80's when playing a video game took some work just to get it installed. I built my first computer almost 20 years ago and shortly thereafter, began watercooling and overclocking my computers. Now, I'm less interested in overclocking and more interested in home automation and my home theater computer. I like being able to play music throughout the house, turn lights on or off, and adjust the thermostat from my phone even when I'm not home! I particularly like being able to tell my home theater computer to record a TV show or movie even when I'm away from home.
